I’m getting a slew of DMs about people wanting to talk to me about taking over their ads management from their current team.
I ask: “has the performance been good up until recently?”
Almost every time the answer is yes.
Folks, it’s not your team/buyers, it’s likely Apple.
When your broad campaigns are getting $7-10 CPCs on cold traffic on proven creative / landing page / offers you know the system is broke.
These same ads last week were getting $2 CPCs and .7-.8% CTRs. Now….
Well, did anyone really believe that Apple's privacy feature would be for the good of their users. Of course it's for their own 🤑.

I’ve had more than a handful of people ask for me to share this on Twitter. So here you go.
Data sharing / privacy is in a unique battle. I’m under the belief privacy / personalized ads can co-mingle.
I just don’t want Apple setting the rules.
FOUR ad creatives you need to test in your ad account (if you haven't already). These ad styles are ones I swear by, whether starting with a brand new account or in need of a creative refresh for my existing clients -- see the thread to see a few examples.
As ios14.5 comes out we’ll see a whole slew of marketing grifters who will claim they know something you don’t.
At this point I don’t even think Tim Apple or Marky Mark truly know what will happen.
If they don’t, neither does Joe-Shmo with his ER on IG of 0.02%.
Is Facebook smarter than a media buyer? 🤖>👩💻
In some ways yes, machine learning from the Facebook algorithm can predict future outcomes much better than an individual's decision-making.
Facebook's data set is much larger than the metrics you can analyze on ads manager.
Facebook is way past its peak buzz. So is Snapchat!
Instagram, Reddit and TikTok are near the three near their peak still.
Twitter slowly turning things around maybe?

DTC brands are taking it a bit too far with advertising Black Friday sales super early 😂
Guaranteed this ad is still doing well for them, so they thought might as well keep it on!
