Been off here for more than a year and a half.
Not gone. Just building things I actually wanted to talk about first.
Coming back now. Here's what that time looked like. 🧵
Banganapalli was always the mango we got in bulk. Big yellow boxes of it. My grandmother in Hyderabad would slice them cold, straight from the fridge. No ceremony. Just fruit on a summer afternoon ☀️
I didn't know then that most of the world had never heard of Banganapalli. Or Kesar. Or Himayat 🥭
When I started travelling across Asia and through the west, I kept finding mangoes I couldn't name. Tree-ripened Irwin from Miyazaki. Ataulfo in a Mexican market. Each one carrying its own season, its own name in three languages, its own story about where summer happens.
I've always loved a good atlas. The kind that makes the world feel bigger and more specific at the same time.
So when @arjunphlox and I started talking about building something together, this was the one. A small, playful atlas for mangoes. Where they come from, what they taste like, what people call them at home.
Mangoes Around the World is live today at https://t.co/sxUf66Rt0C. If you know a variety we've missed, send it our way! Enjoy ☺️
Hit Claude's image limit again, hours into a session. Error says "start a new chat." But Claude knows what we were doing. The whole thread is right there. Why can't it just wrap it up and move me into a fresh session?
Building something for this. More when it holds together.

This is exactly what we've been building, our Figma Plugin (launched jan 2025) is the bridge Ankit is describing. Marketers and designers collaborate on a surface in Figma, the plugin pulls it into Aampe, and agents start personalizing content for every user. We started with push notifications. Now it's text, color, graphics, the whole surface. 150 million users.
One agent per user, observing and personalizing individually. customers like Deezer are already running on this.
We didn't build this from the top down. We noticed that designers and marketers were stuck doing the "forward deployed engineer" job manually, one customer, one template, one setup at a time.
The Figma Plugin removes that bottleneck. PMM teams get the entry point, and now we're expanding to more surfaces.
What this space needs isn't just better generation. It's the tooling layer that lets non-engineers ship dynamic, agent-driven interfaces at scale. That's what we've been building at Aampe!

Six months ago I was a Product Designer who'd never written Swift.
Last week, strangers paid me four times for an app I built alone.
It reads your Apple Watch and tells you how fast you're aging. If you wear an Apple Watch, see what it says about you: https://t.co/MpzTtbmMCp
Writing more now. About what it actually looks like to design AI-first products. Also open to what comes next. Looking for senior product design roles at AI-native companies.
If that sounds like your team, or you know someone, I'm at https://t.co/YwM0EG3NQK.
Good to be back.
