The software supporting non-archival relay nodes is live on mainnet!

As the Algorand network grows in transactions, the operational costs to set up relay nodes are reduced. This lowers the barrier to entry to secure the Algorand network, allowing greater community participation.

Non-archival relay nodes only keep the last 22,000 blocks of ledger history, allowing the nodes to focus on data transmission.
