This is still my favorite ad I’ve seen so far this year.
No face, no edit, barely any cuts and it still did 40m on organic.
As simple as it looks, we’ve recreated this style for a couple of brands on paid and they’re WORKING.
Content on the feed is only getting uglier.
Keep up or get left behind.
@alexgoughcooper Hey Alex, great post!
I wanted to ask you, are you targetting interests nowadays in FB ads or are you going all broad at the start and let the creatives do the heavy lifting?
Do you find 10 creatives in one adset too much to start with a 100$ per day budget?
15 common reasons brands fail with their ads ❌
1. Not doing enough audience research (not just one-time, consistently)
2. Lack of account testing structure
3. Not implementing proper naming conventions
4. Not getting content from ACTUAL customers
5. Only running ads from the brand page, instead of whitelisting through creators and publications
6. No synchronisation between creative, landing page and website messaging
7. Not iterating on winning concepts well enough or at all
8. Not enough creative diversity (UGC, statics, professional, carousels…)
9. Turning off winning ads when duplicating them into other campaigns
10. Only relying on inspiration from other brands for ad strategy
11. Focusing too much on creative testing, not enough on offer testing
12. Using secondary metrics to make decisions in the ad account
13. Scaling adspend without scaling creative production
14. Lack of understanding of unit economics
15. Trying to force performance from an angle/ad style/account structure because it worked for someone else
