1/6 🏛️ From the Collapse of Empires to National Self-Determination: The True Context of Israel’s Rebirth The twentieth century entered world history as a period of fundamental geopolitical transit, marked by the collapse of centuries-old empires and the formation of a system of nation-states. This transition had a global character and relied on the principle of achieving sovereignty by peoples who possess a shared historical, ethnic, and cultural coherence. The key region where this process defined the map of the modern world was the Middle East following the fall of the Ottoman Empire. As the empire collapsed, the international community established a principle that imperial rule would not be replaced by new empires, but by the self-determination of the indigenous peoples of those lands, including Turks, Kurds, Armenians, Arabs, and Jews. Placing Jews on this exact same footing was crucial: it acknowledged them not as foreign colonizers, but as an indigenous people of the dismantled empire with an equal, historically justified right to sovereignty. This process was formalized at the San Remo Conference in April 1920, where the Principal Allied Powers explicitly recognized the Balfour Declaration of 1917 and assigned the Mandate for Palestine to Britain with the explicit goal of establishing a Jewish national home.

Can somebody ask @NYCMayor Zohran Mamdani why he isn’t plannning to arrest Pezeshkian, the president of the Islamic Republic, who is attending the same UN conference as Netanyahu in September?
Tens of thousands of Iranians murdered in two days.
The worst massacre of our time.
No speech?
No arrest?
No performance?
BOMBSHELL: Former AP correspondent @MattiFriedman says the "genocide" narrative wasn't a reaction to how Israel fought the war; it was already loaded before October 7 even happened.
- The same "machinery of condemnation" appears in essays he wrote in 2014, describing an identical dynamic on a smaller scale
- NGOs like Amnesty and Human Rights Watch, plus the UN system, were already primed to supply the coverage
- By the evening of October 7 itself, protests in the West were already accusing Israel of genocide
"The genocide charge predates October 7, and this was all ready to go."
@Mr_Andrew_Fox@JakeWSimons
If Hamas had won the war - killed 500,000 Israelis, pushed the Jews into the sea, destroyed all of Israel - do you think Zohran would be crying right now about war crimes?
Obviously not.
They are just mad that they lost.
Pallywood dans toute sa splendeur.
Les Palestiniens mettent en scène de fausses séquences où un enfant est prétendument abattu par des soldats israéliens.
Sans le mensonge, ces gens ne peuvent pas exister.
If this is how you celebrate winning the World Cup I feel sorry for your society. Ugly and hateful and for something they have no clue about. Pathetic.
Mark Ruffalo says he’s done talking to Jewish actors.
Hey Mark, if that’s really how you feel, maybe you should stop playing the Hulk too.
After all, the character was created by two Jewish legends, Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
Or is that different because it works in your favor?
Pretty hypocritical.
Would be easy to say NY Mayor is just an ignorant bigot, but he is not dumb. He's an evil anti-Semite who deliberately lies about serious things like "genocide" to stoke Jew hate. If anyone should be arrested, it's the Mayor of NY for incitement. NYC should be ashamed.
An Israeli tourist in Bangkok says she was waiting at her table for her meal when she noticed a sign saying "No Israel tourist."
She called for staff and offered to pay for her drink, but would like to cancel her food order.
The manager came, all smiles and hospitality, and tried to convince her to stay. Finally, she admitted that she was leaving because of the sign on the door.
The smiles disappeared. He asked her if she was Israeli, and when she confirmed, he began shouting.
She said he demanded she pay an exorbitant price for her can of coke as he got closer in order to intimidate the woman who just wanted some food.
In an instant, her humanity was stripped from her because of the location she was born. That's the reality Israelis have to face: you tell us to get out of Israel and, when we do, you make sure we know we aren't welcome.
WE ALL HAD THE SAME QUESTION FOR THE RED CROSS
Rimon Kirsht shares today in an interview on her release from 53 days in Gaza captivity, that the first thing she said when seeing the Red Cross representative was (please excuse the language): "where the f*** were you?????"
I don't think anyone has a good answer to that question.
The Red Cross must be held accountable for it's abandonment and betrayal of the hostages in Gaza.
Next time the Palestinians shouldn't do this.
Next time the Palestinians shouldn't do this.
Next time the Palestinians shouldn't do this.
Next time the Palestinians shouldn't do this.
Next time the Palestinians shouldn't do this.
CNN and BBC just got exposed by one of their own Gaza sources.
In interrogation footage, Tariq Salami, a senior spokesperson for Palestinian Islamic Jihad, revealed a secret arrangement between Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and major Western media outlets.
According to Salami, Hamas and PIJ dictated the rules of coverage from the very beginning of the war. Under this deal, whenever Palestinian rockets fell short and struck hospitals, schools, or residential buildings inside Gaza, killing civilians, the international media was required to blame Israel. At the same time, the media was expected to stay silent about Hamas’s systematic use of those exact same civilian sites as rocket launch pads, weapons storage facilities, and terrorist command centers.
The agreement went even further: if Israel struck Hamas or Islamic Jihad targets hidden inside hospitals, schools, kindergartens, or UNRWA buildings, the media was obligated to portray Israel as the aggressor and its actions as war crimes, while deliberately hiding the fact that Hamas had turned those civilian locations into military infrastructure.
This arrangement gave Hamas and Islamic Jihad near-total impunity. They could operate from within civilian areas, fire rockets from hospitals and schools, and then rely on the international media to blame Israel for the resulting casualties and to criminalize any Israeli response.
The media did not just report the war. It actively participated in Hamas’s propaganda war by protecting the terrorists and demonizing Israel.
Erdogan has spent nearly $1 billion building a global school network that investigators say is used to export political Islam and target his opponents abroad.
According to a report by the Belgium-based human rights group Solidarity with Others, Turkey's state-funded Maarif Foundation educates around 30,000 students in 34 countries while helping Ankara seize control of schools previously linked to the Gülen movement.
Since 2016, the foundation has reportedly been involved in the closure, confiscation, or forced transfer of 162 schools across 29 countries, taking direct control of 131 institutions and affecting around 7,800 teachers and staff.
The report alleges Turkey used diplomatic pressure, security agreements, raids, deportations, and property seizures to force countries including Afghanistan, Mali, Niger, Sudan, Venezuela, Zambia, and Liberia to hand schools over to Maarif.
State funding for the foundation has exceeded 27.7 billion lira (about $900 million) since its creation. The report concludes there is a reasonable basis to investigate the campaign as persecution amounting to a crime against humanity under the Rome Statute.
Turkey is just one of several state actors that fund Islamists on a global scale.
Iran and Qatar are two other examples, with both heavily focused on spreading Islamism in Europe.
Israel reaffirms its unwavering support for the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of the Republic of Cyprus and stands in solidarity with Cyprus, on the anniversary of the 1974 Turkish invasion.
The ongoing Turkish military presence in the north of the island, alongside Ankara's persistent attempts to alter the status quo through unilateral actions, is unacceptable.
As a strategic partner and neighbor of Cyprus, Israel calls for the resumption of negotiations toward a just, viable, and lasting solution to the conflict.
You cannot hate @Amnesty enough.
Tonight, it issued a report urging European states not to invest in Israel Bonds. But glancing at random pages finds that Amnesty simply cannot stop lying.
For example:
The idea that Gazans, one of the most radicalized groups of people on planet Earth, are experiencing a genocide, is detached from reality.
A mass psyop has convinced you it's true.
Figured I'd take 80 seconds to debunk it while overlooking the beautiful Tel Aviv beach!
I want to show you a terror attack the global media won’t show you.
This is the terrorist arson attack on the Jewish community of Havat Gilad in Samaria last Saturday. 24 homes were damaged, 13 of them burned to the ground. Residents suffering from smoke inhalation were evacuated.
Two Palestinian Authority officers were arrested on suspicion of carrying out the attack.
This is the reality we live with alongside these damn terrorists.
BREAKING: A Palestinian woman was caught setting multiple fires, attempting to trigger a wild fire in Israel.
If it was truly their land, they wouldn’t try and burn it down.
