@soul_rocker1@farmingandJesus@Thinkingtexan@evanahh_@educator4ever36 I mean yeah sometimes that happens though. Child is taken from a bad situation and placed into an even worse situation or one that is only slightly better. Sometimes that is just how life is for people. Rock and a hard place
@soul_rocker1@farmingandJesus@Thinkingtexan@evanahh_@educator4ever36 I'm not saying CPS isn't broken. I have interacted with those people before and they are exactly as you describe. Jaded, burnt out, nothing behind the eyes. I think past a certain point they just see too much and can't genuinely care anymore.
@veronicaromm@Clav0Updates Therapy is only worth it if its free. Even then it is subpar at best. "Good" therapists will charge 200 or more a session. You will better off just working out and doing introspection at home.
@AmayaSaidIt@fishfearmee@NaesCloset I've seen a situation where both parents were using drugs and social services still gave them multiple chances to get clean. I don't like the social services people in general but they give a lot of chances to turn things around before kids are taken away.
@AmayaSaidIt@fishfearmee@NaesCloset Making me defend social services. They usually offer some kind of financial assistance if you aren't on drugs or in some other kind of criminal situation. They usually want to keep children with the birth parents unless there is no other option. could differ by state though
