Sustained territorial gains in 2026 and 250 soldiers of a regular russian army being captured are strong evidence of broader operational readiness of Ukrainians. Time to pressure Russia and secure a just and lasting peace to this war.
🔥 Biletskyi: Russian troops “slept through” the real Ukrainian strike and were taken prisoner on the Lyman front
Ukraine’s 3rd Army Corps says it has completed the third phase of its offensive operation “Vivaldi.” According to corps commander Andrii Biletskyi, Ukrainian forces liberated Nove, Ridkodub and Katerynivka, while also restoring control over Karpivka and Novomykhailivka.
According to the 3rd Army Corps, Ukrainian forces misled the Russians about the direction of the main assault. Russian units shifted reserves toward Shandryholove–Zelena Dolyna, while the main strike was actually focused on Nove.
As a result, the corps says some Russian units found themselves in a difficult position and began surrendering. The Ukrainian side reports more than 250 prisoners of war, including officers, pilots and artillerymen.
@dr_logvinovich@HamWa07 You can debate whether gravity is fundamentally a force, curved spacetime, or an emergent phenomenon but calling it an “illusion” doesn’t explain away the physics. Newton’s law still applies and motions of the planets are governed by a consistent, measurable gravitational force.
@sikorskiradek@UN Radoslaw, what you said is pure truth spoken with integrity. The world would be in a much better place if more people had the courage to do the same👏🫶
@realMeetKevin If you stop buying from Costco you will no longer have a deficit, you will be winning big when you do, because no one knows more about deficit than me.
BREAKING:
The U.S. unseals charges against 5 members of a Russian intelligence network which has arranging murder-for-hire plots in the U.S. and Europe.
The men remain at large:
- Yuri Khrameev, 63, of Russia, a former Russian intelligence colonel known as “Colonel Yuri”
- Kirill Khrameev, 27, of Russia, an FSB officer and Yuri’s son
- Oemis Romagoza Durruthy, 35, a Cuban national living in Russia
- Yaidel Delgado Suarez, 35, of Cuba, also known as “Viking”
- Angel Eduardo Castro, 22, of Venezuela
All 5 are charged with conspiracy to finance terrorism.
Yuri Khrameev, Suarez and Castro also face conspiracy to commit murder for hire charges.
Since about 2024, the group targeted Russian dissidents and, more recently, countries seen as aligned with Ukraine.
They allegedly paid or tried to pay people in the United States and elsewhere to surveil targets and carry out killings, and to attack civilian and military infrastructure in Europe.
The two main plots:
- In summer 2026, Suarez and Castro recruited a U.S.-based person to photograph and film sites tied to a prominent U.S.-based Russian dissident, offering $1,000–$1,500 for surveillance and later $40,000 to “eliminate” or “disappear” the target.
When the recruit refused to kill the person, they asked if he knew someone who would and mentioned people in Mexico who could do it.
In 2025, Kirill Khrameev paid a U.S. citizen $200 to photograph a target in Lithuania described as spreading “lies about Russia.”
Yuri Khrameev then offered $25,000 to kill that person, suggested methods such as a gasoline bottle or a knife, and, after the recruit declined, offered “simpler” jobs such as setting fire to a warehouse or electrical substation to hit countries helping Ukraine.
Durruthy coordinated travel and logistics for attacks in Prague and in Lithuania.
Officials from the Justice Department and FBI framed the case as a disruption of transnational repression and state-directed violence that reached U.S. soil.
The FBI’s New York and Washington field offices led the investigation, with help from Homeland Security Investigations and the National Security Division.
