Here are real scenarios where Noctum is useful today:

Noctum exists for situations where on-chain financial activity should not be traceable back to you. A trader who wants to take profits without broadcasting their wallet balance to the public can deposit into the Noctum pool and withdraw to a fresh address the receiving wallet has no on-chain history connecting it to the source. A developer or contractor paid in ETH can use the same flow before converting to fiat, so their employer or client cannot track downstream spending. A donor contributing to a cause on-chain can do so without their entire transaction history being visible to anyone who looks up their primary wallet. An individual moving funds between personal wallets for portfolio management reasons can avoid creating a visible link between those addresses.

On the identity side, a user can prove they control a wallet without revealing which wallet it is in a broader context. A community that requires wallet verification for access can use Noctum proof IDs as a credential the verifier calls one public API endpoint and gets a valid or invalid response with no other data exposed. The proof can be revoked instantly if the relationship ends. None of these use cases require trusting Noctum with funds beyond the time they spend in the pool. The protocol does not hold keys, does not custody assets, and does not require an account.
