I have decided to take a career break due to an urgent family situation. I will be stepping down from my role at Cosmoverse.
This is a difficult decision, particularly with Cosmoverse’s Hong Kong Digital Asset Summit now just two months away. My father’s health has deteriorated and he requires my full assistance, which means I will not be able to give the level of commitment the coming months will require.
Given the circumstances, I believe stepping away is the right decision, both to give @CosmoverseHQ the time and space to manage the Summit, and, most importantly, to be there for my family.
I’m proud of what we have built at Cosmoverse. When I joined, Cosmoverse was primarily an ecosystem conference. Together, we transformed it into an institutional digital asset summit, bringing financial institutions, public-sector stakeholders, regulators and infrastructure providers together around the future of digital assets.
Seeing that transformation take shape has been one of the most rewarding parts of my time there. From shaping the company’s strategy and positioning to building relationships across the institutional and public sectors, I’m proud of the role I played in helping bring Cosmoverse to where it is today.
I’m also grateful to @Cryptocito. Working with him has been one of the best professional relationships I’ve had. He is highly receptive to feedback, quick to adapt to the market, and has exceptional business development instincts. I learned a lot from him, and I have always appreciated how straightforward and principled he is.
The past 12 years have been intense. I moved from law, to photography, to technology and finance, across very different industries and roles. I have never been someone who particularly likes to slow down. I’ve always been driven by curiosity, by learning something new and by seeing where it takes me.
But there are moments when you need to stop and recognize what matters more.
My father is the person who taught me to think critically, to stay humble and, above all, to keep learning. Much of who I became, and the career I was fortunate enough to build across very different industries, started with those lessons.
So for the first time in a long time, I’m going to take a step back. Not because I’ve stopped being curious about what comes next, but because right now there is something more important.
I’ll be back.
