Excited to share that I’ve joined the Canton Foundation as Ecosystem BD working under executive director @MlvsBznz
Why Canton?
Because it’s the first network where the world’s largest institutions are coming together on-chain including Goldman Sachs, HSBC, BNP Paribas, Broadridge, Tradeweb, DTCC, and more.
In this role, my focus is on how DeFi can plug into institutional workflows. Canton has already supported some of the most ambitious pilots in the space, bringing real volume on-chain. What excites me is the chance to take the early ambitions of DeFi (yield, permissionless composability, no middleman) and show how they can strengthen the systems institutions already run at scale.
The real value of Canton is its network effect of institutions combined with a tech stack designed for their needs: privacy, counterparty visibility, auditing, and regulatory alignment. That combination creates an environment where builders can create products that are not only innovative, but immediately relevant to the largest players in global finance.
👉 If you’re working on stablecoins, credit, collateral infra, or other DeFi primitives, and want to explore how your ideas can translate into institutional adoption, let’s connect
Takeaways from Canton Summit NYC:
- tons of suits everywhere, feels like the mix was 65% finance 35% DeFi
- privacy privacy privacy
- canton founders are chads, both Eric & Yuval are well spoken and resonate well with institutions
- epic venue in FiDi
- most asset managers are all very bullish composability with tokenized assets
- vault companies are struggling to raise series B rounds b/c of little revenue
- stablecoins are such an obvious snowball trend that they almost aren’t talked about as much as you’d think with TradFi
- trillions are coming onchain
- 24/7 trading is clearly the focus of the finance industry to solve urgently
- canton pulls an insane crowd
- some asset mngrs want to be able to buy a yard of T-bills onchain by 2028
Overall extremely positive on the convergence of finance and digital assets.
Virtu Financial, M1X Global, and Tradeweb completed the first fully onchain repo using a natively issued sovereign digital bond as collateral.
Securities, cash, and the return leg settled atomically on Canton in a sub-10-min cycle.

@CantonFdn@Deloitte It’s been existing see how each market is positioning themselves in terms of their digital asset strategy and regulations.
Canton Foundation has been an incredible vantage point to initiate the dialogue to facilitate standards and legal frameworks for global collateral mobility
DTCC is facilitating initial production trades of tokenized securities in July 2026, with a full service launch in October.
Over 50 firms across TradFi and DeFi, including Digital Asset, are part of the working group.

Big takeaway:
Privacy = the unlock for institutional adoption
Aligned with Deloitte, Apex Digital, and DADRC, institutions won’t scale on infra that forces transparency vs confidentiality trade-offs

Canton Network is the home for onchain capital markets, processing $8T+ in RWAs monthly, $350B in daily U.S. Treasury repo volume, and adopted by 800+ firms.
LayerZero connects @CantonNetwork to every blockchain.
The Era of Interoperable Institutions has begun.
🚨 @ZenithFDN unleashes EVM Beta Testnet on @CantonNetwork
What does this entail?
Beta Testnet
➜ Demonstrate transaction processing between Canton and Zenith EVM
➜ Implement external_call() in Daml
➜ Deploy a Zenith Stack chain on Canton Test Network, interacting with Zenith Test Network
As of March 4th, 2026 we have fully demoed this in production, been held accountable by several governing committees to our deadlines, and are now approved for the release of our Milestone 1 $CC weight.
TL;DR It means we're on track with all of our roadmap, and the mainnet ETA is right around the corner.
The question on everyone's mind...
When Mainnet?
➜ Our Milestone 2 has a 4-month window from our Beta Testnet for "Demonstrated composability on Mainnet"
The countdown begins now.
Zenith is near.

citi surveyed their institutional clients about crypto custody.
almost nobody wanted to manage their own wallets. they just wanted bitcoin in the same account as their bonds.
that one detail alone tells you more about the next 5 years of crypto distribution than anything.
- $39 trillion in client assets between citi and morgan stanley.
- both building custody this year. morgan stanley adding staking, trading, lending.
- E*TRADE’s 5.6 million accounts getting direct access.
rails aren’t only being built by protocols anymore. majority of projects haven’t thought about what that means for how they distribute.
In the summer of 2025, I reached out to more than 300 validators, quietly accumulating $CC OTC over 4–5 months of patient uncertainty with no clear timeline for listings, no guarantees of liquidity on the horizon.
Yet @zenithfdn staked our entire team and every resource on constructing the EVM/SVM stack for Canton, long before it emerged as one of crypto’s most utility-dense networks.
That unwavering commitment was met with alignment in its purest form.
The law of reciprocity holds: genuine value, delivered without reservation, tends to return amplified.
My good friend @AndrewDurgee taught me a rising tide does not merely lift all boats, it first rewards those who dared to sail farthest from shore, who charted unproven waters and laid the keels when the sea was still calm and the charts incomplete. When the fog clears and the swell finally arrives, the horizon is borne visible for everyone; but it’s the early builders who find their vessels carried to their zenith that see the farthest.
Conviction maketh the man.
Grateful for the journey and the tide that followed.

Bravo 👏
CIP-0100 just passed and it defines how Canton's 5% development fund will actually be governed.
Elected committee. Milestone-based grants in CC minted directly to recipients. Core contributor oversight on delivery. Quarterly public reports. Annual independent audit. Formal appeals process.
Most crypto dev funds start with vague mandates and bolt on accountability later (Ethereum foundation only formalized treasury policy in 2025 after years of backlash, Solana Foundation still hasn't published formal spending reports, Polkadot faced criticism for $87M in opaque H1 2024 spend).
Canton is launching with the governance framework most projects only build after things go wrong.
