I'm of the opinion that there shouldn't really be any special access to contracts that manage user funds
Maybe small things like protocol fees (with some hard-coded bounds), etc...
But upgradeable contracts/core logic changes shouldn't be managed by a multisig
this level of attack is really scary. to my knowledge, the compromised signers have followed the best practices. they also used different combinations of os, software and hardware wallets, as well as simulated every transaction.
