If I may, I think it’s much more than that. Kyle’s observation is an astute one — much of the thread was around the adoption incentives and how vampire attacks can solve for the cold start problem.

Aside from raw incentives, most web2 apps preclude me from seamlessly migrating my data to a superior app/solution, creating coerced stickiness and associated network effects.

In web3, not only can incentives be more directly aligned, but data (ideally, incl. identity) portability will be solved for, enabling users to seamlessly move to higher value apps/solutions.

A [very] short story around the relevant constraints that humans face today and the irony in what awareness limitations we may program into "AI agents".

It begs the question, which of the following are we?

(A) the most advanced life form who has created another form of intelligence

(B) a life form that is unknowingly subservient to the needs of a greater life form that has placed awareness constraints on us, and we're now following suit in creating a similar dynamic with AI

(C) a life form that has been slowly conned by another energy form (electricity), where humanity reaped great benefits and has now become completely entrapped in our current digital world where we continue to create things that we believe are helping us "evolve", but we're really unlocking another form of intelligence ... perhaps as long planned
