Chainlink SVR (Smart Value Recapture)—designed to recapture liquidation MEV in DeFi—will feature a revenue split between integrating DeFi protocols and the Chainlink Network

The standard revenue split rate will be 60% to the integrating DeFi protocol as a new source of revenue, and 40% to the Chainlink Network to support the economic sustainability of oracles

Based on the long-standing relationship between the @Aave and Chainlink communities (~5 years of production usage) and Aave’s role as the first user of Chainlink SVR,

The near-term revenue split proposed to Aave is 65% to the Aave ecosystem and 35% to the Chainlink Netowrk, for the first 6 months—pending approval by the Aave DAO community

Liquidation MEV in DeFi is measured in the tens of millions of dollars per year, presenting a significant economic opportunity for both communities

Chainlink SVR is also planned to be one of the first Chainlink services to plug into the Payment Abstraction system, enabling the Chainlink Network share of the split to be converted into $LINK using existing DEXs

The net result is the creation of more sustainable economics around the oracle-related, non-toxic MEV generated by DeFi protocols and the oracles that power them
