Tané Governance Digest #4 🏛️
@0xPolygon is redesigning the fundamental rules of its chain!
Breaking through the 700 TPS limit toward 10,000 TPS.
This time we cover PIP-64 & 65.
Two proposals that simultaneously change how blocks are produced and how fees are distributed.
In our letter to @SecScottBessent we stress the need to:
➡️Support good-faith efforts by DAOs seeking to operate responsibly within the US
➡️Engage with communities piloting new legal frameworks like the DUNA
➡️Provide federal pathways that reward innovation & protect U.S. leadership in crypto
I think (i) getting to stage 1 and then stage 2, (ii) getting <= 1h native withdrawal times, (iii) having bypass channels for censorship resistance, are all more important for L2s than decentralizing the sequencer.
I've been heartened to see how much progress there has been on (i) this year.
The whole point of the construction of doing an L2 instead of a separate L1 is that you're leveraging the decentralization of the underlying L1, and adding scaling and sequencing properties (eg. intmax-style privacy, ultralow latency, sandwich/frontrun protection) on top.
There are gains from max-decentralizing every layer, but users/apps that care about that might as well just work directly on L1 (or on R1-style neutrality-maxxing rollups)
When that infrastructure arrives, we'll be able to build lending rails that aren’t just marginally better. They’re fundamentally more inclusive and expressive.
Can’t wait to see the next Morpho release push us further down that path.
This is such a timely reminder that “credit” isn’t a monolith but a spectrum that stretches from a hand-written IOU to ROSCAs, on-chain collateral vaults, and everything between.
What really excites me is how the multiplicity of trust opens a far bigger design space:
Optimising capital efficiency is great, but, at least for me, the real dream (still unsung in most DeFi circles) is plural finance: markets that can price any form of trust, however it’s expressed.
🌟 Excited to announce Tané's selection as an Endorsed Delegate for NEAR (@NEARProtocol), the world's leading AI-focused blockchain ecosystem!
Leveraging our extensive governance expertise with DAOs like Optimism, Arbitrum, Lido, and Uniswap, we're committed to driving transparent, sustainable governance within NEAR.
Excited to be part of the CoW DAO Delegation Program! 🐮
At Tané, we’re dedicated to the governance that drives the CoW ecosystem’s growth, by leveraging our expertise in MEV and grant management.
Thrilled to collaborate, contribute actively to proposals, and build the future of CoW DAO together🔥
The results of Morpho's grants pilot program are here!
Tools, front-ends, fixed rate, notification bots, DEX/aggregator hooks, oracles, risk platform, ... 11 projects were selected to empower the Morpho network 💙
🚀 @Obol_Collective just announced that $OBOL delegation is live 🚀
$OBOL will play a key role in Obol’s governance, and Tané is excited to contribute.
As both a DVT node operator and a governance contributor, we bring valuable expertise and deep alignment with Obol’s goals. Our experience running Obol’s DVT node has prepared us to actively participate in shaping the ecosystem.
Please delegate your $OBOL to us and help us strengthen the governance together!
We are super grateful to be selected to serve the Milestones and Metrics council along with @v3eth and @emjicy! We'd appreciate all the votes from the delegates who support us.
📣 Tané’s Proposal Approved by Lido DAO
Throughout 2024, Tané has been deeply involved in @LidoFinance’s governance. Now, the proposal we spearheaded alongside the core contributors has finally been approved by a community vote 👏
With this approval, governance-related contracts will be revised and updated going forward.
