@amyallantdf @jasakpack14 Thats for middle ear infections. Outer ear infections can be cause by other bacteria like P. aeruginosa the agent associated with swimmer’s ear. You should only have an ENT remove earwax since this is the body’s way of naturally pushing out dirt/germs/etc.

@amyallantdf @jasakpack14 They start with bacteria like NTHI, S. pneumonia, or M. catarrhalis ascending the Eustachian tube. This part of the body goes from the back of the throat up to the middle ear. Viral infections can cause different receptors to be expressed that make it easier for the bugs to climb
