I, too, am interested in a hand out that benefits me and mine specifically. It is only reasonable and moral.

As you can see, when people like me benefit, it benefits the country as a whole. It is obviously correct when people that match these specific characteristics are given a leg up. It’s purely coincidence that I also fall into this category.

In fact, the reason that our nation is not like it used to be, back when it was better, is because of the lack of this subsidy that I am advocating for. It is governments responsibility to lift up this specifically selected group.

The other people, that live somewhere else or are a different age than my cohort, are currently monopolizing the benefit and that is clearly not fair. Their enjoyment of it is detrimental. Our enjoyment of it, however, would be egalitarian.

Great story, impressive persistence. Real estate business very much is the long game.

I generally appreciate your content and your perspective on things so please don’t take this the wrong way. But I’d rather hear this story in your words than the ChatGPT or Claude or whatever this is.

The AI stuff becomes so formulaic. The format of “this, not that” or “one good thing and another good thing, but a bad thing”
- cliff, not a runway
- problem wasn’t demand. It was math.
- great tenant and a great corner still have to clear the basis.

I’m just some dude so feel free to ignore the feedback, but to me it makes it much less enjoyable to read.

Kudos for setting a goal and working towards it. You are knowingly making a trade-off.

I want to be closer to work, therefore I pay more. Not “woe is me, I give up.”

Not sure why that is such a hard concept to internalize for folks complaining that life is too hard.
