"At times when you are not able to hold on to hope yourself, you need to allow others to carry that hope for you, and you’re not alone in this.” NHS Consultant Psychiatrist Dr Ajai Kumar, on #suicide, in https://t.co/d1OMX0mxWQ #WSPD#SuicidePreventionDay
Apropos of nothing, am posting pic of bunch of daffodils left at till of local @coopuk shop, reduced to 20p. Buds looked brown & dead but thought I'd take a punt for 20p, & this is how they turned out, and lasted for AGES too. Just shows appearances can be deceptive!
@BoothsCountry So unimpressed by this, at Chorley. I can understand why - eg I've been in shop when someone walked out with massive rucksack of stuff - but I won't feel comfortable shopping in 1984.
@HMRCcustomers@a13xmcc Whichever clown decided to do away with the self-assessment helpline for half of the year has obviously never had to ask your webchat for help with a self-assessment form for someone who died. An absolute effing joke. Talk about making an awful, awful situation (even) worse.
@gmpolice Had cause to contact you about a concern for someone's safety today. Turned out to be a false alarm, but you were AMAZING while establishing that everything was OK. Cops get so much flak sometimes, but you were so great today. Thank You!
@yorvaleltd Is this suitable for vegetarians, please? (Not as daft a question as it sounds - if Bisto now do a "meat-free" 'beef' gravy, maybe your 'pigs' are meat-free too.)
@AntiqueRoadTrip@DavidHarperTV@Hettie_Jago Thrilled to see Chorley's Droyt soaps on today's Road Trip. Shame, tho', that it didn't include actual soap-making process, which is what makes Droyt so (very) special. Anyone interested in finding out more can do so here: https://t.co/LETb3AoaF4
@TalkingPicsTV Do you have any plans to repeat Dilemma (https://t.co/cFbowk18dT), please? I just happened to catch it a few years ago; I missed the start, and recommended it to my mate, but, as far as I'm aware, you've not shown it since.
@TSB Just wanted to give a MASSIVE shout-out to Ian at your Chorley branch, who was just so kind and lovely when dealing with an incredibly sensitive matter for me today. #LoveYourBankManager (and Love Your Branch/es as well!)
ps his colleague Jason was great t'other week too!
@rainbowchaser79 St Pancras Old Church is worth a dawdle (https://t.co/umzZUdgiVW).
As others have said, St Pancras Hotel is pretty awesome too (https://t.co/IBa2lepdhJ). Looks like you can't do a tour anymore, but public areas still worth checking out.
@AndrewTimms12@SVPhillimore Sincere condolences over suicide of your colleague. You're so right about the getting your head around it thing; sometimes it's hard to know which is more difficult: making sense of why someone did what they did, or getting used to losing them.
@boltoncouncil Are you going to change Farnworth as much as you're changing Bolton according to this #OurBolton map? Even the Mayor would struggle to find his way round the town using this, let alone anyone seeking to "Invest in Bolton".
@blacks_online Might be an idea to update your website, so people like me don't trek into Manchester to return ASAP an item bought online so you can put it back on sale (also) ASAP, only to find the shop is now closed. (Oh, and that phone no is "not in use" either.) #NotHappy
@wiganworld Nooooooo! Gutted when I visited the website just now! All the best in getting it back up and running, it'll be sorely missed in the meantime!
@SoniaBassey1 And if all that wasn't bad enough, the victim has never achieved justice for what happened to her - and the real, actual, rapist has, as far as we know, been walking the streets all these years, and who knows how many other women he may have raped in the meantime! Appalling!
@DaleVince It's true, though: scaring people is stupid. If planet's "boiling" then we have no hope; what's point of trying to tackle things? We might as well live life to max while we can.
Yours,
A person who, in 1980s, was first in her peer-group to ditch aerosols because of CFCs.
