Today is a momentous day for our people in Nagaland. This remarkable achievement is a significant leap towards attaining gender equality and empowerment in our municipality.
The passing of the Nagaland Municipal Bill 2023 serves as a testament to the unwavering dedication of our government, led by our Hon'ble Chief Minister @Neiphiu_Rio, in promoting women's involvement in decision-making and securing their representation in local governance.
The consensus decision reached in the State Assembly today is a reaffirmation of our belief in equal rights and opportunities for all, fostering an inclusive and forward-thinking society.
As we look forward, we owe this triumph to the tireless endeavors and advocacy of various women organisations, activists, and particularly the support of our male counterparts who have vigorously championed for gender equality and increased representation in governance.

Held a brief meeting with the Managing Director @nhidcl and ED (P) RO Kohima today at my official residence. Deliberated and shared concerns on a wide range of subjects concerning road development in the State.

With better coordination and support between the NH(NPWD) and NHIDCL, works will progress in the right direction. We are confident that many works which have been under progress for years will be completed soon with quality.
