@Yolo304741 I lived in Florida for 40 years in Brevard and Orange counties. The darker grey or orangish tinted fog resulted from either controlled burns or wild forest fires whenever atmospheric conditions create fog. Slight surface winds distributed this unwelcomed blanket of pungent drift.

@krp234 @AZStormChase Smart thinking! I resorted to a similar extreme one evening in Tampa, Florida several years back when CG- started dropping over me. I quickly aimed cameras to cover 180° over the bay setting them both to f/16, iso 64 for 20 sec and jumped in the truck. Got a few good ones

I am pretty sure I shot this same storm oriented from the NE about 5-6 years ago while chasing a rogue cell drifting for 50 miles over central Florida before interacting with the west coast Seabreeze boundary collision.
