@enur72 The BIP-110 guys are the fearmongering, COVID freaks with a saviour complex, telling stories of doom if everyone does not surrender to their will.
I just received my @Trezor Trezor Safe 3 Bitcoin Only.
The outer shipping label the one every delivery driver, neighbor, and anyone near my mailbox can read says exactly that.
Trezor Safe 3 Bitcoin Only.
Not “electronic device.” Not “consumer electronics.” Not a generic description that any shipper could legally use.
The full product name. On the outside. For everyone to see.
This is not a customs requirement. US domestic shipments have no international customs declarations.
There is no legal obligation that forced this. This was a choice made by Trezor to print the exact contents of your package on the label that faces the world.
Every person in that delivery chain now knows you bought a Bitcoin hardware wallet. The driver. The sorting facility worker. The neighbor who grabbed your package from the porch.
This is not paranoia. This is operational security 101.
Supply chain attacks are real. Physical theft targeting Bitcoin holders is real. Social engineering using purchase data is real. The threat model exists.
Trezor knows it exists they sell products specifically designed to protect against it.
And then they print the product name on the outside of the box.
Satoshi understood something that apparently still needs to be explained to Bitcoin companies in 2026.
Privacy is not optional. Privacy is not a feature. Privacy is a prerequisite for security.
Satoshi never revealed their identity out of a deep understanding that exposure creates attack vectors. That information about who you are and what you hold makes you a target. A company selling tools for financial sovereignty should understand this better than anyone.
We just watched Coldcard burn after a firmware failure that drained hundreds of Bitcoin. That was invisible, buried in code. This is different. This is visible.
This is simple. This is a choice.
Trezor could print “electronic device” tomorrow and fix this entirely. No engineering. No firmware update. One decision by one person in their operations team.
If Satoshi had seen their home address linked to “Bitcoin Only” on a shipping label, they would have returned it. And they would have been right.
The box is sitting in front of me right now. Unopened. I haven’t been able to bring myself to open it not because of what’s inside, but because of what was written on the outside.
This is my first experience with Trezor. And I am genuinely disappointed.
One week ago I was processing the Coldcard disaster. That was a technical catastrophe. This is something else a simple, avoidable mistake that puts customers at risk before they ever touch the product.
Being a Bitcoiner in 2026 means caring about details that feel small but aren’t. It means holding the companies in this space to a higher standard because the stakes are higher.
It shouldn’t be this hard. And they should know better.
@SnarkyAlien@COLDCARDwallet@nvk@FoundationHQ@zherbert Maybe because they know there's a risk that they're the same smalltime amateur company, as themselves? Coldcard had no business making security products, but they were willing to fuck everyone over because of their own ego and greed.
outrageous behavior by some in this world
a nearly 30 BTC coldcard victim had 17 BTC peeled and sent over @THORChain to ETH, then deposited into @Duelcomcasino
both the victim and a research emailed all known addresses for @Duelcomcasino and asked for freeze, provided all info on the txs and deposits
229.72497255 ETH ($445k), downstream from the victim's ~30 BTC coldcard hack, was deposited by the hacker into their sketchy offshore casino
duel's response to the victim was for him to have the police contact them, despite the fact that their AML policies claim they perform KYC and adhere to all relevant laws
this is an outrageous response. it's well after midnight in most of the western world. no police report is coming until at least Monday. these shady people are refusing to freeze funds that have been forensically proven to emanate from a live cyber incident. if they do not freeze the funds, they are complicit in theft. they were notified minutes after deposits were made.
if duel doesn't freeze this money, they will face substantial legal action
duel's x account is suspended so I am tagging people we could find associated with them (team, dealers, others)
let these people know that they need to do the right thing

I have issues with this apology post.
It starts off with:
"securing the Bitcoin held by millions of individuals, businesses, and families, this is our core responsibility, and we fell short."
and
"We take full accountability for the firmware bug and we offer our sincere apologies to those affected."
This is natural and fine, accepting basic accountability and responsibility for what happened.
But then, towards the end:
"we believe this is a sober reality of the new AI paradigm. AI-assisted code review can now find latent bugs at a speed that is outpacing even the industry’s most seasoned experts."
This is what irks me, and I find quite unbelieavable. The taking responsibility part is now fully diluted, the incident is framed as a "sober reality of the new AI paradigm". Coinkite is now seemingly just a victim of this new reality, not someone who fucked up in an insane way and takes full responsibility for that.
Coinkite had one job, build a product that provides sufficient entropy. They failed in such a spectacular way, and for such a long periode of time, that their users are now suffering the ultimate loss in Bitcoin.
The "new AI paradigm" they describe as the culprit, cannot cannot overcome 128 bits of properly generated entropy. It's therefore extremely disappointing (but sadly expected) to see this kind of diversions in an apology post while the catastrophic losses of their users are still mounting.
⚠️ The biggest threat to Bitcoin is no longer governments.
It’s us.
Every time you promote ETFs, treasury companies, wrappers, yield, leverage, lending, custodians, or borrowing against Bitcoin, you help rebuild the very system Bitcoin was created to replace.
Wall Street doesn’t need to kill Bitcoin.
It just needs to convince you to hand it over.
Get you to trade it. Wrap it. Lend it. Borrow against it. Hand over your keys. Accept paper claims instead of the real thing.
Self-custody your Bitcoin. Earn more of it. Use it as money.
Stop helping legacy finance put YOU back in a cage.

And there you have it.
Not all Muslims are the same, and I know some very decent ones, but far too many think exactly like this 'British' Pakistani: 250,000 raped white girls mean nothing to them. One of their own is worth more than all of our children ⚠️
The decent Muslims are simply too few, and too afraid, to counter them.
This is why grooming gangs, in the UK and elsewhere, are rarely denounced by their own communities. If ever. They will always put racial and religious supremacy over justice and humanity.
Politicians, journalists and cowards who invite and carry water for them out of fear of being called 'racist' are traitors of the worst sort. And as dangerous as the groomers themselves, if not more.
We either deal with them soon. Or wait for them to deal with us later. If it hasn't reached your town yet, it will. It's not going to get better by itself, and will only get a lot worse if we do nothing.
Which way, Western man? 🧐
