@joshw1700@BeeNetwork The sensible thing would be a 264 - stopping D/C, cornbrook, White City, Warwick Rd, Stratford, Dane Road, Sale M&S, park Road, Navigstion Road, Alty. Empty Altrincham directs are basically for TfGM bosses.
I keep wondering why today's America is so much more paranoid about China than the other way around.
For the US, China is an "adversary," which is just a slightly nicer word than "enemy." But if you ask most people in China (by people I mean ordinary folks, business owners, etc.), "adversary / enemy" is just not the word we regularly use to describe the US.
For the vast majority of Chinese I know, the US is at the same time a competitor (for sure), a power that seems increasingly going mad, but also a great country that we can still learn something from. At the very least, I don't recognize much paranoia about the US here.
There is paranoia in the government security circles, of course, but definitely not as widespread as in the US. Liang Wenfeng is not as paranoid about the US as Dario is about China, for example.
And if you think about it, in the current round of tension between China and the US, China is always the passive one, on the receiving end. The US introduced tariffs; China responded with equal measures. The US banned chips; China banned rare earths. The US banned robots; China struck back. The US always deals the "tit", while China responds with the "tat", and I challenge you to name me one instance in the past few years that China struck FIRST, and the US retaliated second.
This asymmetry of paranoia is obvious, unprecedented, and honestly quite mind-blowing.
@tillsixx@BeeNetwork The 1720 started from Hyde Road Bus Depot at 1730, not Piccadilly? Why was this, and why did the operator say they are on time? Not good this @AndyBurnhamGM https://t.co/TCmYgVJFr4
@LeahyMadeleine@BeeNetwork Though seems only single deck vehicles with 32 seats have been allocated to Wythenshawe depot where the ex Arrival services will run from - so even less seats in these services?!?! @BeeNetwork could you confirm from "the team". 263 in particular should be a core service!
@BeeNetwork@WiganCouncil Hi @beenetwork How many trains an hour will serve it, and where are they to and from? How many people you expecting to use it?
@AndyBurnhamGM £800 for a year, £80 a month... Is £670 and £70 in Nottingham... no advantage for advance / period payment over cash on footplate, so slowing everything down even more... https://t.co/Sq3l9e1gHE
@AndyBurnhamGM@Sophthecatsmum Hope you've learnt lesson from Nottingham where they introduced a "transticket" paper 1hr transfer ticket in 2001. Had to withdraw as people getting off were handing it to people waiting to get on, or passing through window to their mates... @BeeNetwork!
@BeeNetwork This is a service non update! Instead of a big picture just tell us there are no trams through Saint Peters Square and Altrincham, Firswood, Wharfside and Eccles.... Have to click through loads of pages to get the info we need - and Sale tram stop live departures show trams!!!
