I did not appreciate being told that I didn’t believe in the gospel or evangelism and missions, which only makes sense if John Wesley and C. S. Lewis didn’t believe in the gospel, evangelism, and missions. Some exclusivists are quite arrogant.

Biggest mistake I ever made was being agreeable with church leaders with no willingness to try to understand what I believe. And so, after over thirty years I’m asked to withdraw my membership.

And no willingness to consider that Baptist liberty should have allowed me room to stay. That’s “Baptist” apostasy from historical Baptist distinctives. Call it BINO, Baptist in name only.

SBC churches seem to have forgotten the Preamble to the Baptist Faith & Message

That the sole authority for faith and practice among Baptists is the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. Confessions are only guides in interpretation, having no authority over the conscience.
