saw a “this is a designers room” exhibit in ikea and these fake technical micrographics are such a step above than the dude who made doing this type of work his entire personality
@iamrobtv You missed the point.
The fine details of a game reflect the passion and skill of the developers working on it. Either turning up the LOD for this specific animation (zero extra code, cheap), lerping the animation for a smoother transition (1 extra line, still cheap.)
@user7741366 The teacher spent lots of time and money on this, and never once thought about her male students, which says a lot about how she'll conduct herself in the classroom.
There are loads of ways to make gender-neutral but fun environments for kids to learn in.
@agraybee Not even sure how this happens.
Your wife had to date you, marry you, and have kids with you, what do you mean she was never attracted to you?
@MGecko117 Gane design is a very generalized process which requires a lot of specialist expertise to get right. In order for big teams to synergize well, you need intermediaries with proficiency in lots of different tasks.
@MGecko117 I used to know a guy whose sole job was to check over people's concept art for inaccuracies before passing them off to the 3d modeling team. A 2d and 3d artist with lots of random knowledge. The games industry doesn't have jobs for people like that anymore, and it shows.
@sidravi_ Think of a crystal structure like a lattice of magnetic rods. You can arrange them in pyramids, cubes, hedrons, even a mix.
The minute you introduce a more stable configuration to that lattice (no matter how small) the less stable version starts to break down and reform.
