Mangaluru’s railways are finally coming under one roof!

A long-pending demand is being fulfilled as the Mangaluru railway region, currently divided across Southern & South Western Railways, is being brought under South Western Railway’s Mysuru Division.

This gives me a great sense of contentment, especially because this is a demand we raised as a priority within days of taking oath as your MP in June 2024.

Since then, we have pursued it relentlessly - taking it up repeatedly with our Hon’ble Union Minister for Railways Shri @AshwiniVaishnaw, whose proactive engagement and responsiveness in taking forward this long-pending demand I deeply appreciate. We have also used every available parliamentary and institutional forum to highlight the concern and press for its expeditious resolution.

This is a significant step for Mangaluru - reducing jurisdictional hurdles, improving coordination, enabling faster resolution of passenger concerns and giving greater focus to railway infrastructure and connectivity across coastal Karnataka.

With the formal notification expected soon, we will be better placed to address many of our railway-related concerns and, most importantly, enable Mangaluru’s railways to move faster on the tracks of Vikas.

Grateful to our Government led by PM Shri @narendramodi, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw and MoS Shri @VSOMANNA_BJP for making this possible.

The best well-wishers of a stable, peaceful, and prosperous India have been reasoning, recommending, and requesting for some reforms. Yet, sadly, their requests are never acknowledged.

When this NEET issue happened, supporters of the govt suggested certain actions and clear communication. They were ignored.

Now, the govt submits to anarchists. Messaging directly from the top so many times, meeting them and listening to them, and fulfilling all their demands.

If the govt is forced to listen to the senseless who take to the street and not sensible supporters at the earnest, things will only get worse.

Having tasted success, there may be more protests, more unreasonable demands, and more anarchy to extract and weaken the govt as well as India.

Even after all this, though I am always optimistic, I do not keep high hopes on GoI tackling social media psyops, programming, and infowar the right way.

In fact, it is now seen they are only going after the patriots who point out issues and problems questioning the apathy and inaction.

If this continues, I have already posted what the end result will be. He was already walking like a winner today for what CJP did. That's what India will get.

There are so many fundamental flaws in Citrini's piece that it just comes out as sensationalization attempt at best. Whoever has written this have no clue of complexities of systems. While it's very clear some of the consumer apps & companies will be challenged but the article is all doom and gloom. You can't just replace a mortgage department with an agentic swarm because the legal liability of a hallucinated loan is a bankruptcy-level event. These "scenario posts" are designed for engagement. They take a week of AI progress and draw a straight line to 100% unemployment. We've come a long way from outsourcing will collapse economy to cloud to no-code/low-code and now agents.

Every single action an agent takes requires an identity, a permission set, and an audit trail. This is not just integration nightmare but also compliance. No Fortune 500 CISO is going to authorize a swarm that can bypass MFA or create its own service accounts. And, what about observability nightmares?

The key point missed is that today everyone outside of the industry just assumes that enterprise systems are ready to adopt AI/Agents and just go at 100kmph with it. The data engineering needed to make most of enterprise systems AI ready is going to be a project in itself.

Claude understanding COBOL & IBM shares dropping is another case. The irony is that IBM already has this tool. They launched Watsonx Code Assistant for Z in 2023. It does exactly what Claude claims to do. It translates COBOL to Java on the mainframe. And the assumption that the value is in COBOLE is itself flawed.

It's all sesationalization going all around when it comes to enterprise systems. Sure, a lot is going to change, how we work, how we price contracts, delivery models, many industries & segments will certainly be automated nut the "Intelligence Crisis" narrative is overblown. Sure, you can launch a DoorDash in 2 days with AI, good luck getting distribution. We will get to high levels of automation eventually, but right now, it is mostly loud noise

Time to ACT for Mangaluru Rail Users!

Despite being a major terminal station, Mangaluru Central continues to suffer from critical infrastructure and service gaps. Here’s what needs urgent attention from @GMSRailway and @RailMinIndia 👇
1. No LHB,MEMU rake maintenance facility at Mangaluru Central – shocking for a terminal where multiple long-distance trains originate/terminate.

2. Platform-to-coach gap at the Bay line platform is dangerously wide! Elderly passengers and children are struggling to board safely due to height mismatch.

3. IRCTC stalls lack local representation – vendors are unable to communicate in Kannada or Tulu. Why aren’t local youth being given opportunities? Language is key to public service.

4. No IRCTC Executive Lounge at Mangaluru Central – there’s only a basic paid AC waiting hall. A full-fledged lounge with modern amenities is long overdue at this important terminal!

5. Trains like West Coast Express, Malabar Express, Maveli Express, and MAQ–MAS Mail are still running with old ICF rakes. Even though LHB rake was reportedly delivered for MAQ–MAS Mail, there’s been no update. These trains must be upgraded to LHB at the earliest.

6. Platform shelters are incomplete – passengers are left exposed to sun and rain. Full-length roofing is a basic necessity, not a luxury.

7. The newly proposed Mangaluru Central–Rameswaram train is still missing from the timetable. Why the delay in launching this much-needed Tamil Nadu connection?

8. The legendary Navyug Express, which once linked Mangaluru to North India and Jammu & Kashmir, is still absent. Reintroduce it via Hassan–Miraj–Pune to better serve Karnataka!

9. Mangaluru Central–Subrahmanya Road passenger is crowded daily. Extra coaches are urgently required to reduce the extra rush and ensure safe travel.

Mangaluru is the gateway to Karnataka – it deserves better!

For everyone who is disappointed that we didn’t finish Pakistan. I have only one question.

What exactly do you mean by “Finish Pakistan”? What do you expect to do?

Do you want to do a WW2 style Operation Sickle Cut, launch armored pincer movements, encircle Pakistani armies and annex Pakistan? Why on earth would you want to do that?

Do you want to add 300 million hostile people, some of whom already think blowing themselves up is their greatest purpose in life? How will you manage them?

Is that how you will finish Pakistan?

Or do you want to nuke them out of existence?

Because let me give you a reality check here. We won’t do that. We can’t do that. Indian citizens cannot morally contemplate, let alone sanction, nuking 300 million people. So that option is out.

Then Someone said, “Let’s split Pakistan into 5 countries”.

Now, Pakistan isn’t some Ikea Furniture that you can assemble or disassemble at your will. As hopeless they may be, they still have a functioning military and a working bureaucracy. They will do anything they can to keep the country together.

With all our might, with all our focus, we can exploit that Faultline, but it will take a lot of money and energy and 10-15 years. Are you ready to wait that long?

Some people said we should do a large-scale attack on all their air bases, military bases, Ports, Military HQ everything. Obliterate them out of existence.

Sounds nice if you are movie general.

In reality if we do that, Pakistan will launch nukes on Mumbai and Delhi. Simple. Because it will be their last resort and they will exercise it.

Obviously, we will retaliate and wipe them out of existence, but are ready to lose our 2 big cities and the lives of 20 million Indians as a price for taking out their military?

I don’t think so.

Finally, what is War? War is nothing but politics by other means. And War without objective is pointless.

Any battle launched should be with a purpose.

Our purpose in this strike was two-fold

1. Send a message to Pakistan that for every Indian your terrorist kills, we will kill 100 of your terrorists. We will take you out even if you are ensconced in the heart of your country. We will come after your terrorists like a wrath of God.
2. If Pakistan retaliates, not only can we handle them, but we will also hit and twist the knife if it comes to that.

We have achieved it. In fact, we have more than achieved it.

We have put the fear of God in the terrorists. Obviously, they will try again, but this time they know we will hit back.

And we have clearly shown Pakistan that we can penetrate wherever we want into Pakistan, while the maximum they can do is look up and shake their fists.

Some people also speak about India being diplomatically isolated.

In this entire exercise, if anyone has been isolated, it is Pakistan.

In the olden days, as soon as something bad from Pakistan happened, most countries used to descend on us, asking us to be restrained, calm, resilient etc.

This time not only did nobody speak, but they also allowed us three days of complete freedom of action where we stuck fear in the hearts of the Pakistani military.

So much so, they had to beg to us to stop.

In international diplomacy, no country will come out and say “Please attack someone else. We are with you” .

They will support you only when you are being attacked. The fact that nobody said anything when we attacked, is a diplomatic success in itself. Just that we don’t see it.

To summarize, as far as Operation Sindoor is concerned

1. We sent 200 jihadis to where they belong.
2. Took out 9 terrorist locations deep inside Pakistan
3. Attacked all major Pakistani Air bases, made a complete mockery of their air defence system.
4. Made them beg for us to stop. I mean if it is a wrestling match, the person who taps out first is the one who loses. Pakistan tapped out. Ergo, they lost.
5. Ensured Indus Water Treaty is now firmly in the dustbin.
6. Have given ourselves the freedom to attack Pakistan as soon as a Terrorist incident takes place.

If this is not a win for us, then I don’t know what is.

P:S: India wants to be an advanced country and has to provide for 80 crore people who are below the age of 30.

We have to focus on industrialization, technological self-sufficiency and agricultural modernization.

We have higher priorities than fighting pointless wars against a country who has nothing and can give nothing.
