@anilkumarsastry@dkdistrictrail so now with MLR revenue adding to MYS division, it will boost its revenue. But when KRCL is dismantled and if Mangalore division proposal gets nod, will not mysuru division cry foul just like how Palakkad is doing now?
Mysore division will dissolve for sure, with such low revenue and Bangalore division being just next to it, it's not sustainable
As of now only Hubli division has a sea port holding with it
@MBPatilbrige Sir, relequinshment of shares by Karnataka in Konkan Railway is still pending. Please fastrack this so that Coastal Railway Infra upgrade gets a push
#WATCH | Thiruvananthapuram, Keralam: On the proposed reorganisation of the Palakkad Railway Division, Congress MP Kodikunnil Suresh says, "Today morning I spoke to the Railway Minister to rethink and reconsider this merger. But unfortunately, the Railway Minister replied that this merger is necessary and inevitable from an administrative and developmental standpoint... The Government of Kerala had demarcated 200 acres of land for setting up a coach factory, but the Railways failed to deliver on that coach factory and backed out of their promise. Now, without any assurances, the Railway Ministry has decided to merge the Mangaluru section into the Mysuru Division..."
@aroorprashanth Even though twin cities Udupi and mangalore have a lot of potential , lack of big ticket infra projects have hindered in creating employment.
A DFC, a mega shipbuilding plant, a larger international airport to cater the entire coast, large solar parks(we get 9 months of sunshine)
@CaptBrijesh@VSOMANNA_BJP The revised cost of upgrading Mangaluru Central has been brought down to 95 crore from proposed 340 Crore(which included World class commercial complex, air concourse, multi level parking, iconic facade etc).
Please reconsider this proposal.
@ahmedmq2704@RailMinIndia@SWRRLY@GMSRailway@RailMadad So after 21 days of filing a grievance on CPGRAMS, today case is closed with remarks "your refund is being processed".
@AshwiniVaishnaw Sir, please automate the refund process when a train is cancelled/short terminated.
It took a grievance and 21 days for refund to be processed.
@RailMinIndia@SWRRLY@GMSRailway Sir, Train 16512 was short terminated on 1 August at KBPR. TDR is rejected with reason Train has touched destination. But this is contradicting to the message sent by Indian Railways.
Complaint on @RailMadad has not helped. Please look into this.
He was the one responsible for dragging already dragged Mangaluru Kannur train to Kozhikode. Now he is in a shock that without his consultation, Mangaluru is moved out of SR
In response to the matter I raised under Rule 377 in Parliament regarding diseases affecting arecanut cultivation in coastal and Malnad Karnataka, I have received a detailed response from Union Agriculture Minister Shri @ChouhanShivraj.
The Minister has informed that ICAR-CPCRI is undertaking research, field demonstrations and disease-management measures, with encouraging results in areas including Belthangady and Sullia.
@BJP4India and our PM Shri @narendramodi led Government are committed to protecting the interests of our arecanut farmers, and I will continue to pursue this issue to ensure they receive the scientific and institutional support they need.

@CaptBrijesh Sir, since MAQ is under SWR now, our next focus should be dismantling of KR, create new Mangalore division under SWR and bring Ullal to Karwar under the ambit of new Mangalore division.
@ravikeerthi22@vdsatheesan@CaptBrijesh@VSOMANNA_BJP Well from yesterday the moment notification was published i was thinking how did kerala lobby allow for this?? Anyways Gazette notification is done. Final nail in the SR coffin.
Mangaluru’s railways are finally coming under one roof!
A long-pending demand is being fulfilled as the Mangaluru railway region, currently divided across Southern & South Western Railways, is being brought under South Western Railway’s Mysuru Division.
This gives me a great sense of contentment, especially because this is a demand we raised as a priority within days of taking oath as your MP in June 2024.
Since then, we have pursued it relentlessly - taking it up repeatedly with our Hon’ble Union Minister for Railways Shri @AshwiniVaishnaw, whose proactive engagement and responsiveness in taking forward this long-pending demand I deeply appreciate. We have also used every available parliamentary and institutional forum to highlight the concern and press for its expeditious resolution.
This is a significant step for Mangaluru - reducing jurisdictional hurdles, improving coordination, enabling faster resolution of passenger concerns and giving greater focus to railway infrastructure and connectivity across coastal Karnataka.
With the formal notification expected soon, we will be better placed to address many of our railway-related concerns and, most importantly, enable Mangaluru’s railways to move faster on the tracks of Vikas.
Grateful to our Government led by PM Shri @narendramodi, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw and MoS Shri @VSOMANNA_BJP for making this possible.

@CaptBrijesh Thank you very much Sir. A long pending demand is coming true!! Finally we are out of Southern Railway. Let this step be a foundation for connecting Mangalore to other parts of Karnataka.
@AnanthOnTrack@ShivAroor Well its origin traces to Diana Icecream in UDUPI. It got its name GUDBUD as the shop owner was in a hurry to create it with whatever flavors he had (in kannada hurry means 'Gadibidi')
