@BriannaWu Both sides often think in black and white. One says trans women need to do nothing to be seen as women; the other says they can never transition “enough.” Both miss the nuance: biology matters in some contexts, but pretending transition changes nothing is equally misguided.
@BriannaWu Always appreciate reading your opinions on this, as you understand that the issue isn’t as black-and-white as extremists on either side make it out to be. Wishing you a nice day!
@FarmGirlCarrie Acknowledging you are not able to do something. Accepting help and giving time up with your kid bc you cant give then what they need at that moment is excellent parenting. Cause your putting their needs on top
@JoEllisReally Very well put together, with thoughtful and nuanced positions on topics that aren’t black and white, but are often treated that way. Wishing you all the best! ☺️
@neild619696@BriannaWu To me, saying "identifying" makes it seem like a choice, but gender dysphoria isn't a choice. It makes no sense to treat a real, difficult medical struggle like it's just a social label you pick out.
Just to be clear, then. FIFA:
1) can't possibly intervene when Iran are forced to move, a referee is denied a visa, or fans are barred from the USA
2) can absolutely intervene when a decision goes against the USA that Donald Trump doesn't like
Smashing. All know where we stand
fuck factchecken de boel is corrupt!
We moeten heel dat team + het kale hoofd van de corrupte fifa en zijn oranje vriend verslaan!!!

A speech at the UN today by one of my heroes, Iranian national football player Shiva Amini, brought tears to my eyes.
She spoke about how Iran’s regime threatens female athletes even with rape, simply for competing freely, playing against Israeli teams, or refusing compulsory hijab.
And now we see it again.
Five players from Iran’s women’s national team had to flee their hotel in Australia and seek police protection just for refusing to sing the regime’s anthem.
Imagine that.
Playing football can make you an enemy of the state.
Everyone needs to hear
@Shiva_amini_11 and be the voice of athletes who have been killed or those who were still in prison. In Iran.
This is one of the most beautiful moments you will ever witness.
Sir Nicholas Winton helped 669 children — most of them Jewish — escape the Holocaust.
His humanitarian accomplishments would remain unknown and unnoticed by the world for nearly 50 years.
Then in 1988 he was invited to the BBC TV show That's Life!.
There he sat — unknowingly — as part of the studio audience, surrounded by the children he had rescued. They were now adults.
Then they surprised him with one of the greatest gifts of all time. Their presence.
They were there, all alive — because of him.
Not only was he reunited with dozens of children he had saved, but he was also introduced to many of their children and grandchildren.
Please remember Sir Nicholas Winton, for his humanitarian operation known as the Czech Kindertransport.
Sir Nicholas George Winton, a British stockbroker, and a gift to this planet, left us on July 1, 2015, at the age of 106.
May his memory forever be a blessing and inspiration to all.
Please share. International Holocaust Day cannot be forgotten. But many are working to make that happen.🕯️♥️
I would offer that Alex Pretti putting his body—with his hands up—between a woman and the BP agent who had just violently shoved her into the snow, offer stark competing visions of manhood. Pretti, a nurse caring for veterans, who took a face full of pepper spray to shield that woman, is a much better masculine ideal that the masked coward shoving the woman and executing a man on his knees. MAGA may venerate the latter, but most people in a healthy society want the former.
They are beating the shit out of the guy and he appears to be doubled over before the first shot goes off, then several additional shots are fired as he is lying on the ground.

Frame by frame breakdown of this MURDER shows ICE is lying!
-ICE had ALREADY disarmed the man before shooting.
-The man NEVER drew his gun.
At the 0:06 second mark we see the man’s hands on the ground covered in large gloves.
His hands are empty.
“The suspect also had 2 magazines and no ID—this looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement.”
Yes, the way to “massacre law enforcement” is to approach them with a camera phone and then get surrounded by them as they throw you to the ground.
Their lies about the people they kill are getting more absurd and brazen. Renee Good was a domestic terrorist. This guy was planning a massacre.
They’re going to accuse the next person they kill of genocide.
I was outraged when Breonna Taylor was shot to death in her home by Louisville police officers. I was outraged when Luigi Mangione shot a man to death in the streets of Manhattan. I was outraged when Charlie Kirk was shot to death in Utah. And I’m outraged that Renee Good was shot to death by our government. Hold on to your humanity.
Looks like he was already well to the side of the car when she drove forward. The energy and focus it took to shoot her seems like it would’ve been better directed towards getting out of the way.
In 2006, a little boy in Nigeria was found starving on the streets. A kind British woman saw him, gave him food and water, and saved his life. 💔 That one act of kindness changed everything.
Years later, that same boy, once weak and hopeless has now graduated from university! He stood proudly in his graduation gown beside the woman who rescued him.
One moment of compassion can create a lifetime of change. ❤️
