@KarmicDharm@adithya While I don't doubt the karma theory, almost every story that's being circulated in the name of Maha periyava is fabricated for Mylapore / Nanganallur mamas whatsapp forwards.
Adharmic people behave as they please. They don’t care about dharma. Dharmic people, however, are bound by Dharma. You should always ask “is this dharma?” and then proceed by doing what is dharmic and discarding whatever is adharmic. (1/2)

From Termites to Tenders: How Bureaucracy Crippled Koodalmanikyam Devaswom
The Koodalmanikyam Temple, a 9th-century marvel and one of the very few shrines in India dedicated to Lord Bharata, earns over ₹4.46 crore annually. Yet its accounts are still maintained manually. Its financial records are "lost" to termites and floods and 252 audit objections spanning three decades remain unresolved.
The petition, filed by @jaypanicker and @KJinoy with the assistance of our legal team, exposed this staggering reality. Records from 1990–2004 were destroyed. For 2004–2017, the Devaswom didn't even respond to most audit objections. Yet authorities proposed closing them without explanations. The Court was not amused.
When the Administrator appeared before the Kerala High Court on July 17, 2026, he could not produce a single record. "You keep saying you don't have anything whenever I ask something," Justice Raja Vijayaraghavan V remarked. The Administrator claimed that a vendor named Cubic Software Solutions had digitized records post-2019 but admitted it could only show receipts, not Income-Expenditure reports. "What is the use of this software?" the Judge shot back. "You are a senior officer but this shows you are not good enough." When the Administrator blamed floods for missing records from 1990-2004, the Court retorted: "You want us to write that you are totally inefficient?" The Administrator was sent packing; the Commissioner was summoned.
When the Commissioner eventually responded on July 29, he did so through his Joint Secretary, filing a vague affidavit that revealed his reluctance to be held accountable. "No one seems willing to take responsibility for this mess," the petitioners' counsel Sri KS Bharathan objected. The Court agreed, noting the affidavit lacked specifics. The case was tagged with the Cochin Devaswom Board case. The Bench observed that all devaswom boards seem to have financial issues while remarking that even a salon with a ₹20 lakh turnover digitises accounts today however temples with crores in revenue are still maintaing accounts manually.
This is not isolated failure. It is the inevitable outcome of state control over religious institutions. Politicians and bureaucrats, instead of safeguarding temple finances and traditions, have allowed decades of mismanagement to fester while illegally interfering with religious practices. Meanwhile, devotee-administered temples like Payammal, Chidambaram, Udupi, and Dharmasthala thrive with transparency and reverence. The contrast could not be starker.
The Court has hinted at "reinventing the wheel", perhaps scrapping the government-controlled model altogether. The Koodalmanikyam case is a powerful reminder: true secularism demands that the state disengage from managing temples and restore them to devotees and traditional custodians.

The Madras High Court has tagged the PIL filed by our president Shri @trramesh on 3,084.95 acres of Karur temple lands with two connected petitions; next hearing on 11 August. This is a key step in our larger fight to protect temple properties.

Great kings/rulers, our ancestors & forefathers donated land & wealth to various deities & temples out of love & devotion
These donations were made for the well-being of the deity & temple
Over time, portions of these lands were leased or temporarily assigned to those serving the temple
They were never intended to be alienated or permanently transferred to private ownership
Those land belong to the temple & deity only
Betrayal of Faith: TVK Govt Favors Encroachers of ₹25,000 Cr Temple Land in Karur!
In a single day, 3,084 acres of 4 major temples were removed from the prohibited list, effectively handing over temple assets to private occupants. Govt's '1963 Inam Act' defense is hollow. If these were lawfully private pattas, why were they ever in the temple prohibitory module in the first place?
The hypocrisy? 500 acres of Vennaimalai temple land remain under powerful encroachers (27 officers, 49 industrialists) despite Court orders since 2019. HC rightly noted: "Poor deity has no voting right. Mighty encroachers have valuable votes." This isn't admin correction, it's electoral expediency.

Litmus test for any conversation regarding Murugan
The bedrock of the question is - Do you consider him a God?
If the answer is No, walk away from the conversation. doesn’t matter whether they say ancestor or king or warrior etc.
Not worth your time.
@Paranjyoti8 Then what and why are very different questions. For the what - Shri Krishna has the best way
कुरु कर्मैव तस्मात्त्वं पूर्वैः पूर्वतरं कृतम्
Therefore, you do your karma just as the elders did in their times.
Religious knowledge isn't acquired without practice.
@KishoreIyer5 She will say she has no qualms in respecting (not worshipping) their shared ancestor Murugar, which is precisely the end goal of the Muppaatan argument is. Reducing a God to a mortal.
@KritaNishchayah No, even though we have accumulated so much karma that we aren't worthy of his attention.. he still grants moksha solely because of Lakshmi's purushakaram & his endless karunyam. All we have to do is sharanagati 🙏 if it is about personal worth, all of us are doomed.

Q:It’s not clear why there should be a rule that certain mantra can be recited only by persons of certain castes or Ashrama.
A:Unless a mantra is ordained for him,it ceases to be a mantra it’s mere sound-Sri Satchidananda Shivabhinava Nrisimha Bharathi Swamigal ,100+ yrs back.
