Belief is not the only requirement. Satan and the demons believe that Christ is Lord, they chose not to submit and put their faith in Him.

Faith is required for salvation and faith is an active process. If you put your faith in Christ you will become a different person over time as your relationship with the Holy Spirit grows.

Simple search for regeneration and sanctification:

Regeneration refers to the new birth or spiritual rebirth—the sovereign, one-time act of the Holy Spirit that makes a spiritually dead person alive in Christ, imparting new life and a new nature. It is monergistic (God's work alone).

Sanctification is the ongoing process (and positional reality) by which God sets believers apart as holy, conforming them to the image of Christ through the Spirit, the Word, and their active participation. It follows regeneration.

Brief Distinction: Regeneration is the instantaneous new birth that initiates salvation; sanctification is the progressive growth in holiness that follows. Both are works of the Holy Spirit, rooted in God's mercy and Christ's finished work.

@MaxMBJ @Protestia It's not a political stance to say killing your children is wrong. It's explicitly a biblical stance and one where the Bible is explicitly clear.

Someone who would kill their child is not a Christian and has not been regenerated and filled with the Spirit.

2 years ago @ZachLahn was on the @jordanbpeterson podcast discussing education.

I remember it really impacting my changing ideas of how we will educate our kids.
