This was the reason we made the film @18hoursfilm. To critique the broken system. I am heartbroken that this still happens in our beloved country. I am sorry Mwaniki 😞 Cc @RocquePictures @RuguruPhoebe @irunguhoughton @carole_gaita @fnoluga

Every day this week, #18HoursFilm producer shares her lessons from the making of the film in an article series.

“All I do is present to you some lessons that my team and I experienced, both from our wins and successes, but mainly from our mistakes.” @RuguruPhoebe

[Phoebe Ruguru @RuguruPhoebe]

Producing #18HoursFilm was a remarkable journey. I made many mistakes and have spent time reflecting on them. I thought it was selfish to keep all mistakes (lessons) to myself. So, everyday this week, I will publish lessons that I hope will help others.

@EzekielMutua You talk of “pettiness that makes the industry sick” - Filmmakers demanding accountability is not petty, it is essential. The negligence and dismissal of our claims and our interests as filmmakers in the industry is petty.

[Njue Kevin @NjueKevin]

Yesterday we demanded a response from @InfoKfcb & @EzekielMutua in regards to the #18HoursFilm DVD that went "missing" in their hands. We got two contradicting responses from both:
