Dear All,
Our General Secretary, Shri. Nilesh Pawar, graced the Annual General Meeting of BOIOA Southern Unit with his esteemed presence and addressed the members on the emerging challenges before the banking industry and the officer fraternity.
In his inspiring address, Shri.Pawar underscored the need for unity, organisational strength, and collective action to effectively safeguard the rights and dignity of officers. He elaborated on the latest developments in the banking sector, the prevailing industrial relations scenario, and the key issues impacting bank officers.
Highlighting the consistent efforts of FBOIOA, he spoke about the Federation's decisive role in securing the 100% absorption of Perquisite Tax, relentlessly pursuing the conversion of Specialist Officers to the General Banking Officer (GBO) stream, and effectively intervening in the recent transfer exercise to ensure fairness and protect the genuine interests of members. He reaffirmed that the Federation will continue to pursue all pending issues with determination until meaningful resolutions are achieved.
The meeting witnessed enthusiastic participation from members, reaffirming their faith in the leadership of FBOIOA and reinforcing the spirit of unity, solidarity, and collective commitment that has always been the hallmark of our beloved Federation.
In Unity We Grow, In Solidarity We Succeed.
A Summit with a Purpose!
Our @fboioa_india Vice President and @BOIOAODISHA Unit General Secretary, @KamaljitBOIOAOU , has successfully completed the challenging Sar Pass Trek (13,850 ft) — a remarkable testament to determination, endurance, and resilience.
What makes this achievement even more special is that, *amidst the breathtaking heights of the Himalayas, the voice of FBOIOA and FBOIOA Connect could also be seen reaching new heights, symbolically reflected through the banner carried to the summit*.
Standing atop Sar Pass, Shri Mohapatra dedicated this accomplishment to a cause that resonates with bankers across the country — the demand for 05 Days Banking.*
Bankers continue to serve tirelessly, balancing professional responsibilities with personal commitments. The time has come to move towards a healthier work-life balance that promotes well-being, productivity, and sustainability in the banking sector.
From the heights of the Himalayas, the message echoes loud and clear:
"We serve every day — now it's time to live 5 days a week."

A March ritual in public sector banks — internal promotions. A close look at the process which is often opaque. Not in all banks though. Latest #BankersTrust in @bsindia
A very pertinent observation by @TamalBandyo ji. Transparency in promotions is not merely an HR ideal—it is central to morale, credibility, and institutional integrity. When processes lack clarity and uniformity, it inevitably impacts motivation and trust at all levels.
As stakeholders in the system, we strongly believe that well-defined, objective, and transparent promotion frameworks are essential for sustaining both performance and fairness in all PSBs.
This is an area that deserves serious, system-wide introspection and reform.

Dear @Pramod_Shinde09 Thank you for the swift action taken by team AIBOC MS-1 in pursuing the matter with the police authorities. Such timely intervention and coordination with all comrades on the ground is highly appreciable.
Attacks on bank officials performing their official duties are extremely condemnable, and it is reassuring to see the strong and united response to ensure protection of our officers and strict action against the culprits.
Appreciate the efforts of the entire team and the solidarity shown by all units. We stand firmly together in safeguarding the dignity and safety of bank officials.
The article serves as a timely reminder that trust remains the cornerstone of banking. Sustainable growth must be anchored in ethical sales practices, transparent disclosures, and governance frameworks that balance business objectives with fiduciary responsibility. Thank you @TamalBandyo ji for bringing this critical issue to the forefront.
