I think when the Cummings story gets to be written, the thing we’ll remember most is Boris’ coolness under fire. He’s the epitome of Kipling: “If you can keep your head when all around are losing theirs and blaming it on you”. He did. Well done that man.
@GWRHelp brilliant 1st Class Customer Host on the 1730 BRI - PAD obviously loves her job and communication with pax brilliant- pass on our thanks to her Manager
Ed Miliband: "Frankly, it would be a global embarrassment, for Britain, if Susan Hall was elected as the Mayor of London... it would empower the flat earth brigade... "
Q: You're not calling Susan Hall a flat earther?
Ed Miliband: I absolutely am...
I’d have more time for Sunak’s speech on extremism if he had
1. called Anderson’s attack on Sadiq racist
2. condemned Truss over her Tommy Robinson silence
3. Removed the whip from Braverman for saying Labour is ‘in hock to islamists’
4. Stopped stoking culture wars
Cancer is a bugger. It creeps up on you. And it still inspires a terrible fear. But early detection, expert treatment and phenomenal innovation means it need not be as frightening as it once was. Thank God for the NHS.
My first non-EU passport. In a strangely beautiful illustration of Brexit’s absurdity, it was printed in Poland by a French company, and delivered to me by a German logistics firm.
JUST A LITTLE REMINDER of Lucy Frazer when Treasury Minister accused of conflict of interest.
🔷Her husband David Leigh was CEO of a recruiting firm with a £15 BILLION govt contract.
🔷The company put people into HMRC using loan charge tax evasion schemes
🔷The Tory conflicts of interest (perceived or evidenced ... to coin a phrase from Frazer's car crash interview on impartiality of the BBC this morning) are absolutely core to their being.

Today marks 20 years since the repeal of Section 28 of the Local Government Act 1988 which Margaret Thatcher and Michael Howard introduced to ban local authorities and schools from ‘promoting homosexuality’, referring to ‘pretend family relationships’. Thank you @UKLabour
As a Leeds United supporting Labour member I'm no stranger to snatching defeat from the jaws of victory but if feels very pre 97.
Only difference is Major, Hurd, Clarke, Heseltine were quite liked and respected unlike Sunak, Braverman, Hunt etc.
“The worst & most terrifying & degrading experience of my life”.
18-year-old Rianna Cleary begged for help, laboured alone, bit through the umbilical cord with her teeth - & was left alone with her dead baby.
Utterly obscene from the prison service.

Every 2 or 3 weeks an elderly woman turns up at our foodbank with a donation of several boxes of basic foods, probably worth £100. She doesn't give her name, she's just an individual who as she says "just wants to help"
Wish the government had the same moral fibre.
This is a national disgrace that should be headline news across every single media outlet.
Civilised societies don't let human beings die on the streets.
We have the resources to end homelessness - we just need the political will.
Psst. Right now the UK Government are trying to extinguish the right to asylum and remove the rights of some of the most vulnerable people in society.
So, here’s a few things they don't want you to be reminded of…
