@BenjiNaesen I do believe you're right. Worth remembering, Primoz doesn't settle for second. It's pink jersey or blow up the legs doing it. He'll attack tomorrow unless UAE/IGD/others make the climbs so ridicuosly hard... which they'll likely try to do.
Deplus to pain cave in 3 2 1...
@BenjiNaesen Sly Almieda, the GOAT of feigning exhaustion. Had he actually pulled with the same speed GT was pulling at, they would have put a minute on Primoz. IMO huge mistake by Sly but he'll have a stage win consolation prize.
@st_matej@BenjiNaesen Tuesday's first 2 climbs will leave a lot of GC contenders isolated. Real battles could be sorting out positions 5 to 15. While the rest hold wheels. Contenders will want to eliminate pretenders. Could see a strong team like EF make stage hard to get Carthy back in. Bora BHV?
@dj_caress @BenjiNaesen Carthy has the legs and the lungs to make the podium his year but his ITT skills got him way down the leaderboard. He's gonna go for broke. 7th place is as good as 17th place for him.
@BenjiNaesen Can't believe that ITT middle section: 4.7km at 15%. It's pretty rare to see a profile like that in a stage, unbelievable they're going to time trial it. If a GC rider doesn't pace right and blows up, they could lose 5+ min
Highlights of the day will be Hugh Carthy Pain Face.
@RenaudB31 That Passo Santa Barbara 12.8k at 8.2% followed up by Bordala 4.6km at 7.1% looks like a good way to start the day with a clean slate of GC riders and maybe a teammate or two to chase the break and like a 60 rider groupetto.
@IDKFA3 Group 2 keeps posting that the yuan is pegged to the dollar and as such there is nothing to worry about...
Hope nobody breaks the bad news to them.
@thomasg_grizzle Will the brand blow up though? They had to have priced in & modeled the risk of this happening and figured the rewards were worth it. This was deliberate and intentional pivot. Progressive pivots are always met with criticism but $BUD is looking down the road 5-10 years
@stonksycollins EVs are in inning one of a race to the bottom. Anyone investing in the auto industry right now that doesn't price this in is delusional. It'll only get worse as we get flooded with supply and demand lags from a recession and weak dollar.
