iPhone 3GS — 2009.
The “S” stood for speed — and Apple meant it.
Faster performance. 3MP autofocus camera. Video recording. Voice Control. Digital compass.
It looked almost identical to the iPhone 3G, but inside, Apple was starting to turn the iPhone into a seriously capable computer.
Same look. A whole lot more phone.
iPhone 3G — 2008.
The iPhone that turned a great idea into an ecosystem.
3G. GPS. And most importantly, the App Store.
The original iPhone changed the phone.
The iPhone 3G changed what a phone could do.
The iPhone that started it all.
3.5-inch display. 2MP camera. 128MB of RAM. No App Store. No 3G. No front camera.
And somehow it changed the entire industry.
The Original iPhone @Apple
There was something different about opening a new Apple product 10–15 years ago.
Maybe it was Apple.
Maybe it was us.
But I miss that feeling.
Will the iPhone Duo bring back that feeling?
@appleinsider@Andrew_OSU The iPhone 18 Pro might have the strangest problem an iPhone can have:
It’s really, really good… and somehow that makes it harder to get excited about.
I’m going to say it:
Apple should bring back AirPort.
HomeKit + Thread + Wi-Fi 7 + Apple-level setup could make an Apple router ridiculously good.
I’d buy one tomorrow.
This is one discontinued Apple product I genuinely think Apple made a mistake killing.
