@TheRealJTRay There were multiple reports of them injecting bias into stories. Anyone who spoke up is now gone. Leading to fear for anyone else to speak up. Talk about believing a narrative… you’re just burying your head in sand.
@TheRealJTRay The source is literally Pelley. He's the source. He's not unnamed. And what circumstances? There was plenty of bad publicity last week during those firings. But they refused to give him answers and they're lying about that meeting.
@TheRealJTRay I wouldn't say that it is conjecture. It's from the source. From someone inside who was told that and are now coming forward. Also, you said "no company would answer those questions." I guess CBS would since they gave a pretty clear reason to the entire staff about Pelley.
@TheRealJTRay Thing is, his reputation is backed by current and former coworkers. He has nothing to lose. In fact, to your question, why would he "end his career" on this hill? Because he is an old-school newsman and doesn't believe in spreading lies as managmenet wanted.
@TheRealJTRay Even since then, Pelley pushed back, saying CBS's statements about the second meeting are false, and they refused to have any discussion or answer questions. It's clear one side has an agenda to push while the other, backed by peers, is standing on morals.
@TheRealJTRay I personally hard disagree. Calling out management for forcing you to insert political bias, falsehoods, or unverified information is fine by me. Don’t try to just hide that behind closed doors. But I’m not trying to get into a big debate here. To each their own 🤷 🤝
@matthewmorek Agreed! I mean, when announced, it bugged me that you could trip over your words when talking to your phone, but HomePod wouldn't understand. Just one small example. So if you said "Siri," I wouldn't want my HomePod to answer because it wouldn't understand as well. It was needed
@matthewmorek The only way the new ones work is if they have Apple Intelligence and when the new Siri was delayed, it only tracked these devices would be delayed too. Now everything seems back on track. Fingers crossed!
@matthewmorek To me at least, it all makes sense. I’ve said for two years now that the new HomePod and Apple TV would have Apple Intelligence and new Siri. From the very beginning I said it would be odd how you could talk to Siri differently on your phone vs HomePod.
@matthewmorek 😭 it may not “care” but it is vital to its smart home plans. And those have grown more ambitious, but have a huge privacy and AI foundation to grow first
