@benz145 It’s a shame they’re so ugly - I agree the tech is impressive but I feel this is VisionPro for AR glasses - very technically impressive but not yet mass adoption for something you wear
@British_Airways why does my 3 year old’s BA account as part of my family/household account keep getting emails and adverts and why is there no way to add my child without having a full BA account 🤦♂️
@TheRealBaldGuy_@TheRealJamieKay How the tech companies prove your age is up to them. There are many methods that don’t have any requirement for Digital ID
@FriedRich12159@Psy_Dec@BeardedHodl@majornelson Based on looking old enough otherwise adults do need ID to buy either.
Digital equivalent here is to check if you are old enough (facial recognition based estimation being one of those options - just like buying cigarettes and alcohol)
@NonyaBidne18233@EssexPR Corporate VPNs are not the same as mass-market VPNs - introducing the same age assurance checks for these VPN providers would be the same as expecting social media providers to do it.
@jwflame@BigWum@EssexPR Most corporate VPNs are self hosted within corporate private networks - it’s sort of the point - to provide access to internal networks to authorised staff and to protect/montior its staffs network activity from trusted devices
@Jules33985842@EssexPR This isn’t “government code” - it’s tech companies showing how they adhere to the govt. Rules. Apple for example has already added age checks to iOS
@EssexPR Govt could easily apply the same age restrictions to VPN providers such as Nord etc. corporate VPNs do not rely on these public vendors like this so there is no cross impact
New one this morning @thsottiaux any ideas
Tried using /goal, it failed but continued with my work just minus the goal then a few mins later this appeared. Killing/reopening doesn’t help
