We bought this house just before covid with its haphazard cottage garden and manicured lawns. It was void of all wildlife & birds which was eery. We were not gardeners and are now learning fast. Wildlife has returned, veg plot built and garden is improving. Loving being gardeners

@GWmag I've used old chest of drawers in several parts. The body was upcycled into a shelving unit and hanging space for tools etc while the drawers were all turned into seedling trays.. They were a little deep but we just didn't fill them too high and everything grew ace

5 yrs for essentially plotting to disrupt enough traffic to make the news and raise awareness of environmental issues that otherwise go largely ignored by the media.. What a sad day for justice and the environment. By this measure, every road and local authority should get life!

Down to 3 degrees wind chill anticipated here tonight.. Winter has returned and my summer squashes have been in the ground for 3 weeks 😱. I've covered the bed in enviromesh to keep the worst of the wind chill off but here's hoping they do okay.. 🍀

My broad beans are growing with black tips to their leafs..anyone know why?
