when I was a kid, copious amounts of dettol and tcp were applied to any wound - but that seems less common now. I made the mistake of asking google about this...

“Helsinki has not recorded a single traffic fatality in the past 12 months, city and police officials confirmed this week.”
City engineer credits lower speed limits and smart design.
I agree. #Helsinki#VisionZero

@boardmasters daughter 16 + boyf 17 accidentally bought After Party tickets (18+). contacted you straight away but flatly refused refund. Like many of your target audience, they are minors and this is their 1st festival experience - please review #CustomerFairness#fail
@ThreeUK customer service hitting new lows. your 'system upgrade' requiring re-registration simply doesn't work. live chat can't help and customer service hang up. judging by extended wait times, I'm not alone in wanting to jump ship. #fail Smarty here I come.
@ThreeUK sims for personal, family and home hub, all requiring account re-registration but no way to do so as all your email verification links are failing on all platforms available. how long will this go on? #fail

The UK government has just quietly published estimates showing wind and solar will be several times cheaper than gas, for the foreseeable future
A few senior cabinet members (& a large section of the media) might like to take a look?
THREAD with charts + caveats
@POferriesupdate They’re all still there. Latest news from our daughter at 7am was loo broken on coach and no sign of a change. Adverse weather being blamed on top of ‘unexpected volume of traffic’… unexpected???
@suebeesley@KateFantom@TheSolarShed@Tesla@OctopusEnergy desperately need to add a ‘solar priority’ charge mode to facilitate green-as-possible EV home charging (for those lucky enough to have resource). I have solar, EV + PW2 but once PW2 full, excess solar gen goes to grid not car for poxy 4.5p kWh 😖
If proven, this is shocking - and another sign that electricity is broken. £500m is a huge figure, but comes on top of billions in “curtailed” wind, balancing costs, etc. We need more renewable generation, dynamic pricing and decentralisation to drive down costs.
@BBCMoreOrLess Do these stats check out? Govt ONS say HE students at *lower* than average risk… (if true would be great obvs). Is it same for over 18?

Being messed about by @ThreeUK customer support #FAIL. 'Ashish' clearly incapable of helping me access online account so they bailed out after one feeble attempt and leave me hanging. Piss poor effort. Good mind to pull the plug.
A No10 "Spokesperson said since the industry was privatised in 1989, the equivalent of £5bn had been invested to upgrade water infrastructure."
Let me remind you during the same period WCs have paid out over £72bn to shareholders.
Just hold that thought
