@YOHAMI Been with my current gf for a year. Happy to keep her as a forever gf; if she ever asks about marriage I will say “ok, as long as you can convince me why it would be in my interests to do that”
Thoughts?
@kissthecann0n@BrittanyXVenti That’s where I am too. It’s a shame: I actually wouldn’t mind getting married or even having another kid, but the risks are just too high
@Coleidoscopes Very much depends on what the expectations were going into the relationship. In my case it was very much that my wife would work, as she did earlier in her life, but somehow that never happened …
@tigerfly22@meonshakedownst@adamcarolla Looking after kids is 20 years of real work, the first 5 are super hard. In almost all cases the mother wants to be a mother, to have the experience of looking after kids. The payoff is strong familiar and social relationships into old age vs 40 years, unwanted, no payoff,
@tigerfly22 @FatherReturneth @adamcarolla Capacity to earn is what’s at issue here: i could have the capacity to earn but may choose not to use that capacity if all the incentives exist for me to kick back, explore my creative side, and get bankrolled
@DvineFemFatale@ReyNemaattori@____selah You’re assuming these people are in a long term committed relationship and chose to get pregnant. In many cases where DNA test is requested it may have happened by accident
@bronzeagemantis I don’t think he’s talking about sexual behaviour, more the fact that it makes no sense to get married/have kids any more , for either gender
