Hosted the Quarterly Youth Public Accountability Forum (YPAF) meeting of AID Balochistan, organized with support of NED under the RTI project. We reviewed last quarter’s progress and planned ahead to strengthen youth led accountability & RTI implementation in Balochistan.

In Balochistan's capital city, Quetta, a seven year old child and rape survivor, is struggling against a system which supports perpetrators. Weeks ago she was raped by a relative—a common instance in many child abuse cases. But even though perpetrators are arrested, police pressure the family to settle out of court, a common practice across Pakistan but especially in Balochistan’s tribal society, where disputes are often resolved through "jirga" or "mairh panchayat" - parallel judicial systems, which cause severe discrimination rather than give justice.

@mirbehramb Laws are made to keep them in books and trouble innocent people but these laws are meant not to be practiced for any cruel and tyrant. Our laws lack implementation due to which Justice suffers. Sad but dark reality

حکومت کا فرض بنتا ہے کہ عوام کو روزگار فراہم دے لیکن موجودہ حکومت عوام کو بے روزگار کیا جارہاہے خود محنت سے اخباری صنعت چلاتے والے ہزاروں لوگوں کو بے روزگار کرنے چند مخصوص لوگوں کو نوازنے کیلئے پلان تیار کیا ہے اخباری صنعت سے وابستہ افراد پریس کلب کے سامنے احتجاج پر ہے
