@TheLaurenChen Sounds like my mother. If we want to see her, we have to drive to her house 45 minutes away when it doesn’t conflict with her yoga schedule. And she complains she doesn’t see my kids enough.
@SteveSkojec I have been wrestling with the free will aspect of faith and salvation. The Lutheran view that our will is bound and it’s ALL God is compelling because it means we can’t struggle our way there. But that leaves us with a God who withholds faith from the strugglers.
@JasonPynn I love it because he’s singing about our shared home, Las Vegas, and how we can’t go back. Not just because “you can never go home again,” but because that Vegas is largely gone. It was crazy and alien, but it was home.
@Hahnlander That’s my son’s birth story! C-section, transferred to higher level NICU for cooling treatment, three weeks in the NICU. He’s almost 10 and just fine. He has some minor sensory issues, but he may have had them anyway.
@becomelutheran@HannesGassman I’m not a member and don’t live there, but I’ve been there for services. It’s a big campus. Both worship spaces are in the same huge building. The chapel has stained glass with traditional musicians in a loft. The contemporary space as the worship band.
@becomelutheran@HannesGassman They have a chapel and a spiritual life center. Traditional service is in the chapel, contemporary service in the spiritual life center. This photo is from the traditional service.
@shagbark_hick Will your wife ride in it? I thought she was against vehicles for safety reasons. Not asking in a snarky way. Just wondering about change of thinking there.
@WonderWomaNinja My guess is that they found out you’re posting about it here. Even if you’re careful not to use identifying information, the algorithms are creepy and may have showed your posts to someone who works in the office.
