Totally bizarre.

He already put “very severe tariffs” on Canadian fertilizer imports *earlier this year.*

Then he quickly suspended them when farm state senators explained that the tariffs massively increased input costs for US farmers.

And now he’s threatening to punish US farmers again by suspending his suspension of tariffs on Canadian fertilizer.

Why?

Because the US has virtually no potash, and Canada has the world’s largest reserves?

Once again revealing there is no coherent strategy here… it’s all impulse and improvisation.

Where are the grown ups in and around the White House to lean in and whisper, “remember, Mr. President. We’ve been through this before. Tariffing Canadian fertilizer hurts our farmers, and we can’t produce our own.”

🚨 DEFUND & DISBAND THE @BCCSU 🚨

Leading addiction physicians with Addiction Medicine Canada sent a letter to David Eby's Health Minister @Josie_Osborne on Feb 24, raising series concerns about her decision to ask the BCCSU to advise clinicians on witnessed dosing for "safe supply."

The same addiction physicians have sent another letter to Minister Osborne expressing concern that delays by the BCCSU are causing more harm.

The BCCSU has long supported take-home "safe supply" & pushed drug legalization.

They developed protocols to prescribe fentanyl to youth.

They played a big role in DULF's illegal drug trafficking operation by conducting research on vulnerable British Columbians. Their Director of Research Thomas Kerr published studies about the operation with DULF's co-founders who were arrested & charged with drug trafficking.

In July 2024, David Eby's PHO Bonnie Henry featured DULF's research in her report calling for legalization.

The BCCSU's Kerr has spoken out against police seizing deadly drugs. He was also caught in leaked audio recordings plotting to disrupt a recovery conference.

The BCCSU is partly funded with YOUR tax dollars from the NDP. They also receive money from for-profit pharma companies, cannabis companies & other entities.

Not only should Eby & the NDP not engage with the BCCSU on witnessed dosing for "safe supply," they should defund & disband the BCCSU because it no longer serves the public interest.
