Thursday, July 23, 2026, two men were stabbed in separate, unprovoked attacks minutes apart on Manhattan’s Upper West Side near Central Park.

Around 1:30 p.m., a 57-year-old Asian man was walking near West 84th Street and Central Park West when an attacker approached from behind and stabbed him once in the back. Moments later and a short distance away, near West 86th Street, the same suspect stabbed a 50-year-old Jewish man in the chest.

Both victims were taken to Mount Sinai–St. Luke’s Hospital in stable condition and are expected to recover.

Police identified and arrested 51-year-old Raul Morales in connection with both assaults. After the attacks, Morales entered a nearby apartment building on Amsterdam Avenue, where officers from the NYPD Emergency Service Unit negotiated his surrender and took him into custody without further incident.

The NYPD is evaluating whether the incidents constitute a potential hate crime. Authorities have found no known connection between Morales and either victim, or between the two victims themselves.

The League of Nations unanimously approved the British Mandate for Palestine.

Its preamble incorporated the Balfour Declaration into international law & required Britain to establish a national home for the Jewish people in their ancestral land.

The Mandate explicitly recognized the ancient Jewish connection and the Jews’ natural rights to reconstitute their homeland. It obligated Britain to facilitate Jewish immigration and close settlement on the Land, while protecting the civil and religious rights of all inhabitants. Political rights in this small territory, however, were assigned solely to the Jews.

This came right after the 1919 Weizmann-Feisal Agreement backed large-scale Jewish immigration.

Yet Arab extremists, led by future Nazi collaborator Amin al-Husseini, answered with waves of organized, mass violence: Nebi Musa (1920), Jaffa (1921), Hebron (1929), and the Arab Revolt (1936–39).

Britain’s response? Appeasement. The illegal 1939 White Paper slammed the doors on Jewish immigration exactly when Jews needed it most.

Despite betrayal and massacre, the Mandate laid the unbreakable legal and moral foundation for the modern State of Israel in 1948.

Jewish rights in the Land of Israel go back millennia and were unanimously reaffirmed by the international community exactly 104 years ago today.

Is Qatar about to control the Secretary General of the UN?

President Trump reportedly wants Swiss-born FIFA chief Gianni Infantino to be the next leader of the world body.

Doing so would effectively hand the reins of the entire United Nations over to Qatar.

Infantino is the guy who relocated his family to live in Qatar ahead of the 2022 World Cup hosted there, while FIFA staff said he was barely seen at their own Zurich headquarters anymore.

He's called Qatar his second home ever since.

Years after that World Cup wrapped, and he's still flying around on a private jet that comes as part of Qatar's $487.5 million sponsorship deal with FIFA. He logged nearly 60,000 miles on it during this year's World Cup alone.

And just last week, in the middle of the tournament, he flew to Doha for the funeral of the Qatari Emir's father, where Infantino said he "feels Qatari" and called it "my country."
