The sophisticated weapons displayed at the "unofficial" Independence Day parade by #ChinKuki may have come from #ChinKukiTerrorists from Myanmar and also include the arms looted from Police stations, newj reports.

On May 3, mobs had also looted a Gun shop in Churachanpur which was caught on CCTV Camera.

Manipur State security advisor Kuldiep Singh assured action against those displaying firearms. Churachanpur DC and SP have been asked to submit report over the incident.

The event also became an embarrassment for the #ChinKukis as they were found violating the code of National Flag and the community had to issue an apology letter.

Have a clarity on the issue, its intersecting dimensions. There is, and should be, no doubt on the fact that Human Rights are paramount. However, these rights must be pursued within the concrete condition within which these rights are embedded and inextricably entangled in a web of socio-economic and political realities.

All rights activists must know that Police is a crucial institution to ensure ordered and lawful existence. Talk of withdrawing police from a particular area is not only ridiculous but also against basic premise of human rights itself, namely, amongst others, rule of law. You must seek accountability of the institution is very different from saying withdraw the police.

Simple fact is, military and para-military can not, are not meant to, deal with civil and criminal matters, such as registration and investigation of civil and criminal cases etc.

The suggestion that a territory with civilians must be handed over to the military and para-military by withdrawing the police is, to say the least, obnoxious!

❗NRC is a fair deal. A lot of Naga areas are being forcibly occupied by Kukis, says Naga MP from Manipur, Dr Lorho Pfoze.

❗The Naga and Meiteis are alleging illegal immigrants are coming.

❗If Kukis are citizens of India what is the hassle with NRC. There should be no fear if you are truly a citizen of India.

❗Shootout between Kuki and Paite Militants in Churachanpur, media report says. The clash took place around 7 PM on Sunday.

❗The Kukis and Paite had a deadly clash in 1997-1998.

❗However as per sources, this infighting was over distribution of food and relief material.

❗About a month back, there were reports of another infighting which was over disagreement of distributor of land and properties belonging to Meiteis who fled Churachanpur, following their ethnic cleansing starting on May 3.

❗Is this the end of #Chinkukis political drama of Seperate Administration by playing the #tribal card❓

👉 A day after the Naga MP from Manipur Dr Lorho Pfoze echoed the Meiteis' demand to conduct #NRC in Manipur to weed out illegal immigrants, 8 Nagas MLAs will support the Manipur CM in the special session rejecting 10 Chin Kukis MLA's demand for Seperate Administration.

👉 The decison has conclusively isolated politically the demand of 1O Chin Kuki MLAs and the Kuki Militants for a Separate Administration/UT.

👉 Chinkukis have been cunningly playing the Tribal card like using the Indigenous Tribal Leaders Forum for their propaganda, despite objection by several Naga groups against use of Indigenous term. They have also been appealing for Naga's support but tragically their leader was caught on a Twitter Space calling the Nagas butchers of Kukis.
