@Ms_Jennifer2022 Part of the fear behind mathematics is the lack of exploration. Students are expected to memorize a formula without understanding why the formula works. I first get my students to explore concepts through familiar learning (multiplication = repeated addition vs a new skill)

This is true in some cases, but we also need our learners to experience other emotions in order to maximize their learning potential. We are not in business to simply make our learners happy but instead, give them the teachings on what they need.

@JoySadaka The one thing I would never want to do as a teacher would be to scold a student for speaking in their mother tongue. Our goal is not to assimilate students into speaking a different language, rather we help them to learn a new language by showing how language is interconnected.
