"Without me there would be no Israel"
Donald Trump expressed frustration with Benjamin Netanyahu on the sidelines of the G7, criticizing Israel's strikes in Lebanon and suggesting Syria would do a better job fighting Hezbollah https://t.co/9tOynd8kTs
The so-called "southern highway" refers to the Omani route used during the secret Project Freedom 2.0 mission to move ships through the SoH under cover of darkness.
Shipping industry observers have raised serious concerns navigational safety of using the route, citing its confined coastal waters, restricted maneuvering room, and the challenges of managing two-way traffic. Any large-scale return of commercial shipping to the corridor would increase the risk of collisions, groundings, and other maritime incidents.

An LNG tanker appears to be heading to the Strait of Hormuz, just as the US and Iran say they have reached a deal to reopen the waterway 🚢 ⚠️
The Disha (which is chartered by India) has been stuck in the Persian Gulf for >3 months. The tanker is carrying a cargo from Qatar
Iranian deputy foreign affairs minister tells state television that Tehran and Washington have reached an agreement. Kazem Gharibabadi confirms signing ceremony to take place June 19.
“Starting tonight, the US naval blockade against Iran will be terminated,” he added.
🇾🇪🇮🇱🇱🇧 Following Israeli escalation in Lebanon, Houthis announced they will impose a ban on maritime traffic related to Israel in the Red Sea.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree stated that any movement by the “Zionist enemy” will be considered a military target, and they will respond to any escalation at the same level.

BREAKING: President Trump on social media: “… herewith, [I] authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade. Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow! …”
Trump also declares the “toll free” Strait of Hormuz open.
🚨BREAKING:
🇱🇧🇮🇱🇮🇷Israel carries out first airstrike on Beirut since Iran attack
The IDF claimed it was targeting Hezbollah insfrastructure, but the timing of the attack is raising eyebrows.
Trump is expecting a peace deal to be signed today between the U.S and Iran, but Tehran has made it very clear that attacks on Beirut are a red line.
The last time Israel hit the city, Iran launched missiles at Israel and U.S bases in the region.
Now Netanyahu has just given Iranian hardliners every reason they needed not to sign the agreement.

INTERVIEW: Economists were the ones to always tell me, ‘Mario, the Iran war is all about China. Trump wants Kharg Island and control of the Strait of Hormuz to have leverage over China’
Well, if that’s the case, then the war is far from over, and all this MOU shenanigan is just delaying the inevitable
And that’s exactly what Economist Jeff Snider explains to me in this interview: The US will not stop attacking Iran until it controls Hormuz, period.
