Well well well. I'd resigned myself to accepting that I'd never own any of the Korean 3DO exclusives when, lo and behold, the main man and hero Archive3DO said he was selling a copy. Delighted he didn't even auction it off but graciously sold it to me.

Wolfenstein 3D for the #3DO from 1995 is one of the best and most complete console adaptations of this classic Although it arrived three years after the original PC version when DOOM was already king it was a version with significant technical improvements thanks to the CD-ROM

With lot's of hacks of course. Three pass solution that muls R,G and B contributions from 3 separate gouraud shaded renders of the same object.

The codes for *Rise of the Robots* listed on cheat sites don't work on the 3DO version, so I dug into the game data to find ones that do...

To play against Supervisor:
* Hold LT while pressing A on the Difficulty screen.
* Start a 2 player or Training game.

So, this Deathkeep on the 3DO, all the random map generating and sharing is gone, and it's hard as nails (that floor is Ice, and you slip on it), but again, the 3DO is showing what it could do in the right hands.
