I'd like to add something here on BTC futures.
I don't know why this is the case, but for BTC, the active/front-month contract is almost always the current month.
So for BTC, the active Oct. contract expires tomorrow. We'll probably hit a low in next 24 hours and then expand significantly early next week as the new, Nov contract takes over.
This is not the case for things like gold, the S&P or the NASDAQ. Right now, for all those, the front-month active contract is the Z or Dec contract.
