🟠 حملة أمنية على منصة "متصدقش" الإخبارية انطلقت مساء الاثنين 28 سبتمبر وامتدت على مدى الساعات الأربع والعشرين التالية لتشمل ستة صحفيين حتى الآن هم جميع أعضاء فريق المنصة. ويمثل محامو المبادرة المصرية جميع صحفيي "متصدقش"، الذين يظل مكان احتجازهم غير معروف حتى الآن ولم يسمح لهم بالتواصل مع ذويهم أو فريق محامي الدفاع.

🟠 بدأت الحملة بمداهمة منزلي الصحفيين محمد أشرف أبو عميرة وعبد الله قدري، والقبض عليهم مساء الاثنين وفجر الثلاثاء. وعلى مدى الساعات التالية استمرت مداهمة منازل باقي صحفيي الموقع في عدة محافظات لينتهي اليوم بالقبض على اثنين آخرين هما إسلام بركات وعمر هلال من منزليهما بمحافظتي الغربية وبورسعيد، إضافة لصحفيين ألقي القبض عليهما من أحد شوارع القاهرة هما محمد محمود ومحمد عادل.

🟠 وتطالب المبادرة المصرية  النائب العام المستشار محمد شوقي بفتح تحقيق عاجل للوقوف على مكان احتجازه الصحفيين الستة ، ووقائع القبض عليهم بمعرفة قوات بزي مدني اقتحمت منازل بعضهم وصادرت الأجهزة الإلكترونية لجميع أفراد أسرهم والمقيمين معهم، ورفضت إطلاع أسرهم على أذون النيابة بالضبط والتفتيش، وامتنعت عن الإفصاح عن أسباب القبض أو مكان الاحتجاز.

في تصعيد جديد للإجراءات الأمنية بحق صحفيي منصة "متصدقش"، تم القبض على الصحفيين محمد محمود وعمر هلال، ليرتفع بذلك عدد صحفيي المنصة الذين جرى القبض عليهم خلال الساعات الماضية إلى ستة صحفيين.

يأتي ذلك بعد القبض، منذ مساء الإثنين 28 سبتمبر، على أربعة صحفيين آخرين من المنصة، هم محمد أشرف، وعبدالله قدري، وإسلام بركات، ومحمد عادل، مع استمرار غياب المعلومات الرسمية بشأن أماكن احتجازهم والإجراءات القانونية المتخذة بحقهم.

وبذلك، أصبح كل فريق التحرير في غرفة أخبار "متصدقش" قيد الاحتجاز، في تطور غير مسبوق بالنسبة للمنصة، ويطرح تساؤلات جدية حول طبيعة الإجراءات المتخذة بحق غرفة أخبار كاملة وصحفييها، دون إعلان واضح حتى الآن عن أسباب هذا التصعيد أو الأساس القانوني له.

وتؤكد "متصدقش" أن جميع الصحفيين المحتجزين صحفيون مصريون يمارسون عملهم بصورة معلنة، ولهم مسارات مهنية شديدة التميز في مؤسسات صحفية وإعلامية مصرية معروفة، وأن عملهم في المنصة يأتي في إطار ممارسة مهنية معلنة تقوم على إعداد المواد الصحفية والتحقق من المعلومات ونشرها وفق الأصول المهنية.

ونحمّل السلطات المعنية المسؤولية الكاملة عن سلامة الصحفيين الستة، وعن الكشف الفوري عن أماكن احتجازهم، وأسباب القبض عليهم، والإجراءات القانونية المتخذة بحقهم، كما نطالب بتمكينهم جميعًا من حقوقهم القانونية، وعلى رأسها حضور المحامين أثناء التحقيقات، وتمكينهم من التواصل مع ذويهم. تقوم المبادرة المصرية للحقوق الشخصية ومديرها حسام بهجت بالتمثيل القانوني لكامل أعضاء فريق متصدقش.

ونؤكد أن استمرار احتجاز الصحفيين دون إعلان أسباب واضحة أو إتاحة الضمانات القانونية المقررة هو أمر غير مقبول، ويستوجب الكشف الفوري عن ملابسات احتجازهم، كما أن احتجاز فريق التحرير بأكمله لا يمس الصحفيين وحدهم، وإنما يهدد قدرة غرفة أخبار مستقلة على أداء عملها، ويحرم الجمهور من حقه في المعرفة.

ورغم هذا التصعيد، تؤكد "متصدقش" تمسكها باستكمال عملها الصحفي، والقيام بواجبها في التحقق من المعلومات ونشر الحقائق، دون التخلي عن مسؤوليتها المهنية أو معاييرها التحريرية.

Entire Matsadaash Editorial Team Arrested as Number of Detained Journalists Rises to Six

In a further escalation of security measures targeting journalists at Matsadaash, journalists Mohamed Mahmoud and Omar Hilal have been arrested, bringing the total number of Matsadaash journalists detained in recent hours to six.

Their arrests follow those of four other Matsadaash journalists since the evening of Monday, September 28: Mohamed Ashraf, Abdullah Qadri, Islam Barakat, and Mohamed Adel. No official information has yet been provided regarding their places of detention or the legal proceedings being taken against them.

With these latest arrests, the entire editorial team in the Matsadaash newsroom is now in detention — an unprecedented development for the platform that raises serious questions about the measures being taken against an entire newsroom and its journalists, particularly in the absence of any clear explanation for this escalation or its legal basis.

Matsadaash emphasizes that all six detained journalists are Egyptian journalists who have carried out their work openly and have distinguished professional records at well-known Egyptian media and journalism organizations. Their work at Matsadaash is part of an openly conducted professional journalistic practice centered on investigative reporting, verifying information, and publishing facts in accordance with established journalistic standards.

We hold the relevant authorities fully responsible for the safety and well-being of all six journalists and call for the immediate disclosure of their whereabouts, the reasons for their arrests, and any legal proceedings being taken against them. We further demand that all six be guaranteed their full legal rights, including access to legal counsel during questioning and the ability to communicate with their families.

The Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights (EIPR), led by Hossam Bahgat, is providing legal representation for all members of the Matsadaash team.

The continued detention of these journalists without publicly stated reasons or access to the legal safeguards to which they are entitled is unacceptable and requires the immediate disclosure of the circumstances surrounding their detention. The detention of an entire editorial team affects not only the journalists themselves; it threatens the ability of an independent newsroom to carry out its work and deprives the public of its right to know.

Despite this escalation, Matsadaash remains committed to continuing its journalistic work and fulfilling its duty to investigate and verify information and report facts, without compromising its professional responsibilities or editorial standards.

While Israel continues its genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, ethnic cleansing in the West Bank and persists with imposing its unlawful occupation and system of apartheid against Palestinians, PM Benjamin Netanyahu, wanted by the ICC for war crimes and crimes against humanity, is set to address the UN General Assembly in New York instead of standing trial at The Hague.

It is doubly shameful that the US government continues to ignore the arrest warrant against Netanyahu - while denying Palestinian representatives visas to attend the UNGA.

Nearly two years since the ICC issued arrest warrants against Netanyahu, impunity continues to reign - and Palestinians are paying the price. Continuing to undermine the ICC sends a cruel message to all victims of international crimes that prospects for justice remain elusive while the USA and other powerful states deliberately erode the universal value of international law.

All states, including the USA, should enforce the Court’s arrest warrants and hand over Netanyahu to the ICC. International law must be upheld and international justice mechanisms supported to end impunity for international crimes and ensure respect for human rights for all.
