I just spent 2 incredible weeks in Italy and it is so frustrating to come back to the U.S…

How is it possible @RobertKennedyJr that the Italian food supply is so vastly superior.

I literally ate bread at every meal, dessert multiple times per day, and generally ate way more than I do in the U.S.

Not once did I have acid reflux. Not one headache, no digestive problems, and I didn’t gain any weight.

If I ate the same way in the U.S. (I used to at times) I would have gone through a full bottle of Tums and Advil just to get through the day…

WHY does the U.S. allow glyphosate in wheat, high fructose corn syrup in food and who knows what in our milk products?

The difference in quality of life in Italy vs the U.S. is staggering from their common sense (anti corporate) food regulation.

WHY aren’t more people upset about this?

The U.S. is the richest country in the world and we eat like one of the poorest.

Earth, rotating in full view, captured by NASA’s EPIC camera aboard NOAA’s DSCOVR spacecraft.

DSCOVR sits near Sun-Earth L1, about 1 million miles away, where it can continuously view the fully sunlit side of our planet. This is not composited, these are full Earth hemisphere photos assembled into a video.

EPIC takes 10 narrow-band spectral images of Earth, from ultraviolet through visible light, roughly 13 to 22 times per day. The public images are natural-color views assembled from that real data.

Frame after frame, Earth turns.

Cloud systems move. Continents rotate through sunlight. Weather evolves across a curved, spinning world.

This is what reality looks like. Flerfs in denial.

America is back in the business of sending astronauts to the Moon and bringing them home safely.
Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy did an outstanding job. These talented astronauts inspired the world and represented their space agencies and nations as humanity’s ambassadors to the stars.

This was a test mission, the first crewed flight of SLS and Orion, pushing farther into the unforgiving environment of space than ever before, and it carried real risk. They accepted that risk for all we stood to learn and for the exciting missions that follow, as we return to the lunar surface, build a Moon base, and prepare for what comes next.

And they were not alone. The entire NASA workforce, our commercial and international partners, and the hopes and dreams of people all over the world were with them. The astronauts know it, and you should too. This mission would not have been possible without you.

Congratulations. Artemis II, mission accomplished.

Every atom in your body; the carbon in your skin, the iron in your blood, the oxygen you breathe; was forged in the intense, ancient furnaces of dying stars. For billions of years, those atoms drifted through the cold void, only to find themselves, by some miracle of cosmic chance, arranged in a pattern that can think, feel, and dream.

As Carl Sagan famously said, we are a way for the cosmos to know itself. We are the means by which a universe of dust and gas suddenly starts writing symphonies, painting masterpieces, and asking where it came from.

It sounds unlikely, perhaps even impossible. But here we are, sitting on a small blue rock, having a conversation about it. And that might be the most extraordinary thing of all.
