I can see sol going to $30 tbh
Zero innovation on the chain
Just a glorified gambling casino

solana was a massive success in getting people to care about fast and cheap txs above all else
they said the tradeoffs--needing validators in data centers etc.--didn't matter and that ethereum cared too much about decentralization on its L1 and should be scaling it even if that meant more centralization
props to them--they showed a shocking level of hustle, came back from almost total destruction post-FTX and displayed an unprecedented ability to transform the crypto industry's social consensus unlike any other project ever seen in crypto before
but now this is what the market cares about--fast/cheap and degenerate--*they are the ones who taught the market to care about that* and they are trying to pivot to be decentralization maxis and FUD things like MegaETH and Hyperliquid
I'm not commenting on the merits of their views--in fact I'm probably quite sympathetic to most of their views--but just from a commercial standpoint I don't see this playing out well for them
maybe they can use the same skillset that they used to get people to care only about fast/cheap to now get them to care about decentralization enough? maybe...maybe they can get governments to crack down on the more centralized things while viewing solana as having the right level of decentralization to be legal. . .
. . .but they have to thread the needle of getting people to care a lot about decentralization while still viewing ethereum's tradeoffs on the L1 as horrible compared to Solana, even though Ethereum L1 will also be scaling . . .
. . .and they will have to deal with a range of other competitors who copy their *old* playbook of marketing that only UX etc. matter & mocking decentralization purism
this isn't meant as FUD, I simply give my thoughts here and believe me I don't have enough money in *any asset* or enough influence to write something because I think it's going to move markets lol--also, obviously it's a dynamic playing field and people can adapt...I just think the dynamic is interesting and am eager to see how it evolves. . .
@donalt Solana land has 3 things that I find new and exciting. From more tangible to esoteric:
-@MeteoraAG has the most opinionated passive liquidity pools
-@MetaDAOProject is the "put your money where your mouth is" governance project
-@project0 calls themselves DeFi-native prime broker
@metaproph3t@AzFlin@mrinko@7VoMercy@MetaDAOProject@UmbraPrivacy News moves coin prices. Insiders trade before the info goes public. Futa turns this behavior into a decision tool: When a governance vote happens, two universes form — one where it passes, one where it fails. We trade to see which world wins.
